Different people have different preferences.  'Course him contacting you out of nowhere spewing negativity: uncool regardless of the point upon which he was opining.

Ridiculous to think that body type is a qualifier on either end of a D/s relationship. More your correspondent's problem than yours.

the reason i ask is that i have received a message from a guy stating im too fat and to give up now

This is known as bait. This is the line someone uses to try and get you into a debate about size to which they hope to get their little rocks off on trying to make you feel bad about yourself.

Yes.  Don't think it's "just a hit and run."  The message was an attempt to get a handle on you.  Please don't hand your personal power over to douchebags.  You won't respect yourself in the morning.

If "most seem great on here" to you, then you have either not been here very long, you aren't very observent, or you have very low standards. This site is a cesspool of liars, game players and emotionally broken people. Out in the real world, only castlerealm can compete with collarme for being the most derided and loathed bdsm website. And frankly, the real world bdsm community aint so great either.

People who do not accept personal responsibility for lack of results place blame on external factors.  Of course, that's just a smartypants way of saying, "A poor workman blames his tools."

If someone's found great people, anywhere, that seems amazing and beautiful to me.  It's something to be treasured, not belittled.  Perhaps if your attitude were less negative, you would be more of a chick magnet.  It's worth thinking about.

There are many wonderful sub out there who would probably be more than happy to gift you a toy or two in exchange for your time and attention. I have received many fun things and make many of my own. These are non-solicited gifts so if you feel uncomfortable asking or suggesting that you may like or need something I would not mention it. I would suggest that if you engage in anal play with your subs that you have them bring/get their own. In my opinion those should not be shared and they can get quite expensive for the good quality ones.
I can give you some ideas for super cheap, fun things if you are a little handy.

hadnt thought of anal toys like that. thanks for that. was planning to put condoms on them though maybe a bit difficult with beads. would love some ideas. i dont mind having a go at my own toys.

misstressnew -> RE: too fat to be a domme? (9/26/2009 8:27:25 AM)

some great advice. thanks again

Moonhead -> RE: too fat to be a domme? (9/26/2009 8:28:50 AM)

I think MistressEllen's right on the money about anal toys. They can be tricky to clean, so have your subs bring their own is a very good idea.

Looks like you're going to be getting plenty of practice, in any case.

Chimortis -> RE: too fat to be a domme? (9/26/2009 2:03:14 PM)

Judging by your picture, I've had female dominant friends who are much larger than you are, and who were very cool people and very much loved and respected by their subs/slaves. :P

DO not worry about your size.. believe me. Its all about your attitude Sister. For every sub that likes smaller women.. There is one a that would beg to sit at the feet of a larger one. My opinon is based on the number of request that fill my in box. And as you can see by my pic. I'm on the larger side of the scale. The ones that want you .. Will find you. Good Luck, Gypsy

lobodomslavery -> RE: too fat to be a domme? (9/27/2009 3:01:54 AM)

As a sub I ll chime in . For the OP calling someone too fat to be a Domme is just prejudice on their part. It is completely discriminatory to say such a thing. It is unjustified and reflects a small mindedness which is sadly is in this scene as in life.  My advice. Refuse to be bullied. Dont allow anyone to put you down.  People think they can get up on their high horse but they just show how ignorant and small minded that they are. Nobody has the high moral ground on anyone else. No one is perfect. People who think they can make judgements on others. They are just small minded arrogant fools. I would use other words gladly but they would not be accepted in this forum
Kevin

Ignore prejudice. It is just small minded and arrogant. Refuse to be bullied. You are not too anything to be a Domme. If you wish to be a Domme dont allow the snide remarks of others to stop you from being so

In my opinion, part of being a Domme is empowering yourself to the point where you are able to own your power and beauty regardless of how far you stray from the media's current ideal of how you should look.  Interestingly, most of the longterm lifestyle Dommes I know in real life are large women.  I don't know if this is coincidence or choice, or perhaps a sign that they enjoy the sensual pleasures in life, including eating.  I think you should check out more fetish art, as BBWs are often featured and celebrated.  Lindi St. Clair, the former Miss Whiplash, famed and successful London pro Domme, was not a svelte woman.  The opinion of an insignificant internet peon shouldn't phase you.

Yanno, in thinking about that (funny I never have before, but then I am on the same side of the sheets.....) I wonder if part of it is their size helps cower a man, and that when they say something, they physically have a really great shot at backing up what they say......

Just musing, I guess.

edit: got a little too physical

Little late coming to the thread....but darlin, you know me..and I would NEVER use my size to make what I say convincing, don't need it.....are you saying that you do??????

This sounds like the guy that sent me a message telling me my tits weren't big enough for a dominant woman...

Mailed to you, hope you like

MasterSlaveLA -> RE: too fat to be a domme? (9/27/2009 11:42:17 AM)

What it's likely meant to imply is that if you can't control yourself (i.e., can't control your eating habits), then you are in no way qualified to control someone else.
