I know two Transgendered persons that lie big time. That doesn't mean they all do.

BTW there were witnesses to so many things that now they both singularly have the reputations they deserve!

I would say that to anybody that pulled what they did..

Last time I checked, there was no way of getting your birth certificate changed if you have a sex change operation.

States have been amending or issuing new birth certificates after SRS for decades.  To the best of my knowledge, there are only a few states that do not do this today (Idaho, Ohio, South Carolina and Tennessee).

About 5 years ago when my exroommate was told he could get his drivers license changed, but not his birth certificate.

Just this year, California clarified that transgenders who are non-residents who were born here can also have their birth certificate changed after meeting the criteria: http://www.metnews.com/articles/2009/some041309.htm

The original post was one of the most peculiar I've seen and then I read this from the original poster:

Quoted from Missleslie's post:
From the Terms Of Service for CollarChat

7.3.7.
You will not "stalk" or otherwise harass any person, and if any member or other person requests that You cease communications with them, at any time, for any reason, You will immediately comply with said request.

I intend to claim that Lockit, and other users on this site have been harassing me through their posts in my thread, and if necessary, will employ legal counsel to enforce MY rights under this Terms of Service agreement, for the purposes of ceasing the personal harassment against my person, specifically by Lockit, and other persons.  Lockit, you will IMMEDIATELY EXIT THIS THREAD AND DO NOT POST ANYTHING ELSE IN THIS THREAD.

And nearly fell off of my chair laughing.  Creative, I'll grant that.  Lockit, I think I would be tickled to be called out in that fashion; I'm kind of envious!  [;)]

I just checked in after being off-line dealing with some nasty system issues when I saw this post from Wingedone. I’m a bit perplexed by your hate filled comments as mine were only meant to be an observation, and not necessarily an indictment of the community as a whole. None the less I feel these observations are pretty accurate.
None of what I wrote was intended to be taken as hateful, but to simply point out that there is a significant number of Transsexuals and for that matter Heterosexuals who seem have some real issues with the truth and wouldn’t know it if ran over them frankly.
In my case I feel I have been nothing but honest and up front of who and what I am I know to someone like you this seems to be a new and novel concept you may not be all that familiar with however I can already and all to predictably tell that you was missed this reinvent information because I have cleverly hid this information in my profile, imagine that. I guess no one bothered to tell you that these are nouns and verb’s coherently linked together as to render facts for others to read to better understand what to expect should they decide to contact someone like me.
So He-Man before making anymore mindless and stupid comments about someone you don’t know anything about perhaps you may want to at least read their profile you might find it enlightening. This way you won’t come off sounding like some mindless uneducated bigot which is probably another very accurate observation on my part. I would also suggest that if you don’t want to see any more ugliness I strongly urge you to stay from mirrors and stand up straight this way your knuckles won’t drag on the ground so much, just a thought, just a thought.

FR:

First I'm assuming, Mod 11, that move along meant keep it to the subject, if it means don't post anymore, feel free to delete this.

I see these things all of the time about people "lying" if they aren't what they say they are in the truest sense of the words.  To me, the lie is if the term they used is meant to deceive the other person on purpose.  The cases that we seem to have no trouble with are the terms "slave", "master" and "mistress."  Unless you have a certificate in the welding, electrical or maritime fields then I don't think you can actually be a master unless you so named yourself.  "Mistress" is usually meant to denote the person you are having an affair with and "slave" isn't an actual legal title for anyone.

We choose those labels out of self identity and this is one of the places where our self identity counts.  It isn't lying because it is truly how we see ourselves.  I think the same can be said for gender identity and sexual orientation.  I have met quite a few men who occasionally sleep with other men who say they are straight.  I might question that in my head but I don't really need to challenge them over it.  There are also people that don't fit my definitions for master, mistress, slave, dominant or submissive.  I don't find it necessary to challenge that either.  I am quite sure that to some they fit the bill perfectly and for others they don't.

ShadowSide -> RE: Misrepresentation By Crossdressers Concerning Their Gender And Sexuality (10/28/2009 5:46:24 AM)

Yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking as well. Maybe we're wrong.

krissykat -> RE: Misrepresentation By Crossdressers Concerning Their Gender And Sexuality (3/25/2011 9:37:12 AM)

I apologize for not reading this entire board but I was mortified by the inorance of the OP's complaint. Who are you to decide what someone should list themself as? For thr record I am a non-op transwoman and I list myself as "trans" on my profile but that is my personal choice. however If I had if I had even the slightest inkling to I would list myself as female. Our government recognizes me as female in that my state ID has the "F" sex maker, social scurity has me listed as female and now so does my birth certificate. And yes all of these things can be and legally were done. So if the govenment recognizes me as female then why shouldn't I be recognised as such on this website if I should choose to? The real problem is that your femininity is threatened by the idea that someone who was born a make can be as femenine as and possibly even more feminine than you. Many of us, myself included function in society as women(raising children in the maternal role, using womens restrooms and being asked for tampons, and having drinks bougth for us and doors held) and unfortunately there's nothing u can do about it. So try and be a little more accepting of peoples lifestyles. And id if doesnt make you a more likeable person at the very least you'll be considered less of a complainer.

Oh My dear.......

You have called up one of the most bigoted, hate filled threads that has ever been a part of the history of CM.

Can this thread please be locked?

VideoAdminTheta -> RE: Misrepresentation By Crossdressers Concerning Their Gender And Sexuality (3/25/2011 11:32:27 AM)

Locked. If a thread is over three months old, please start a new thread if you wish to discuss the topic. You can link back to an older thread if you like.

Thank you
