And actually Spinner, Sanity's comment that you responded to that brought about your response above was a comment made to Ellipsis...Ellipsis had made a snide comment about the right wing media and Sanity responded in kind. If you want to look at it in the way you did when you responded to Sanity, where is your same comment to Ellipsis?
ORIGINAL: CreativeDominant

Because, if you check page 1, you'll see Sanity called "Bush" before Ellipsis called "Right wing media". Also, right wing vs left wing bias in the media is a current topic, not a rehash of the bashing of poor old Dubya.

Its just fucking hilarious to watch you left-wing types clutching your chests and falling to the ground, writhing around in agony and acting like you're having heart attacks because anyone would DARE to besmirch a president...

After eight years of Bush!

If I give you a quarter will you try to remember the last eiight years of history?

If I give you a quarter will you read DK's link in post # 10 and cite me just one incident of "besmirching" Bush that rose to the level of insinuating Clinton was a drug dealer and murderer.

Hmmmmmmmmmm...off the top of my head, how about "Bush lied...people died"?

?
Are you claiming Bush didn't lie or are you claiming no one died?
Keep up, DomKen...I am doing neither.  I was responding to a post that asked for one incident of besmirching---to charge falsely OR (please note the OR) with malicious intent; to attack and defame someone---Bush that rose to the level of accusing Clinton of being a murderer.  Now, the arguments have gone back and forth over whether Bush lied or those beneath him did and nothing has ever been settled.  So the charge may or may not be false but it was damn sure made with malicious intent.

Nice try Spinner but its clear enough that the game the left is trying to play these days involves trying to claim that anyone who is at all 'partisan' is a racist or whatever, and being reminded of all the fanatical partisanship on the part of the left during the last administration puts a kink in that little race baiting game.

Doesn't it.

Moonhead -> RE: Anti-Obama Group Rolls Out New Birther Informercial In 7 States (9/26/2009 2:01:36 PM)

Can I ask how "the left" is defined in the 'States these days?
Is it defined as purely anybody who isn't a member of the Republican party? Because I can't for the life of me see how Obama is even remotely left leaning in any other terms. The lad's the very model of a right of centre monetarist, and isn't even left leaning enough to suit Clinton's other half.

Sanity -> RE: Anti-Obama Group Rolls Out New Birther Informercial In 7 States (9/26/2009 2:14:04 PM)

Obama voted consistently with the furthest left Senators while he was in the Senate, and so here he is or he should be considered very far left, and his supporters are from the far left, generally.

He's lost much of his support from the center since the election because its just now becoming known how far to the left he really is, as the United States is historically a center-right country (by our standards).

Having never called anyone on here a racist for disagreeing with Obama (something the right has blown vastly out of proportion to the number saying it) I don't notice a game or a kink. And if you think that what the left did has anything to do with justifying what the right does, then by all means continue to point it out. It seems to give you great pleasure.

I never thought I'd miss the days when every third right leaning post mentioned Bill Clinton's blowjob.

The quote feature is very simple, Spinner. Just click "quote" when you want to reply to someone with a quote of their text in your reply and be sure to stay on the outside of the "quote"  "end quote" when typing your reply.

Type either above it or below it.

So saying something that there is strong evidence for with 'malicious intent' rises to the same level as lies about Clinton being a murderer and a drug dealer? I think not.

Why thank you Sanity. It's nice to see you can add some useful information to a thread. Keep up the good work.

Pure cuntery on the part of the krazy right-wing zealots: for what is their reason for trying to foment doubt about the President's nationality in the first place?

Bunch of racist fucks. May they all go to hell.

Ok...I'll bite. Tell me ONE way no matter how small or insignificant, that the controversy over Bush's election is germane to the discussion of Obama's citizenship. I don't mean "well if you lefties hadn't so unreasonably questioned Bush's election we noble conservatives wouldn't be so reasonably be questioning Obama's citizenship" nonsense. I mean why is the way Bush was treated have a damn thing to do with the situation. Why is it any different from me saying "How dare you talk about the health care plan? Remember that a republican stole my cab a year ago!"

Bullshit, I said and bullshit I still say.

It's challenging, or, if you prefer, denying, the authenticity of the President as President.  The angle is different, but the goal is exactly the same.  I'm not sure how you are missing that.

It's an interesting point. I cannot deny the parallels. However, the correctness of the challenge to Bush's first election (I don't think anyone questioned the second) has nothing to do with the correctness of the challenge to Obama's citizenship. Nor does the correctness of making the charges have any importance in the discussion. It comes down to the simplest of principles: Two wrongs do not make a right.

Hmmmmmmmmm...........well...............as I posted earlier in reply to Sanity, either Bush lied or was simply incompetent.

We went to war to find and destroy Iraq's weapons of mass destruction.

Refresh my memory, did we find any?

So yes, a great many people died on both sides, and continue to die, for a reason that was proven false.

kittinSol -> RE: Anti-Obama Group Rolls Out New Birther Informercial In 7 States (9/26/2009 4:45:08 PM)

Hold on a mo'... are some people on this thread really trying to argue that it's okay to discredit Obama for xenophobic reasons, because Bush was discredited for political reasons? Astonishing shit [:(] .
