The skit belies a growing sense of frustration and even desperation on the part of the Liberals over at NBC (and elsewhere) because they don't quite "get" what it is that Obama is doing. They see a Democratic majority in both houses of Congress and they know that the Dems can accomplish practically anything they set their mind to, but they aren't getting any of the results they had such high hopes for and yet Obama's political capital is all but spent.

Ah, so for lo these many years since the late 60s, the heavy second city cast, the lampoons of anyone in the news, and special attention to every administration.......now they are a politically active group, that is sending a 'message' starting with obama rather than just fucking around for laughs? seems to me there is a vast conspiracy of neo-con media amalgamating forces with the once and shining leaders of the right to decimate the democrats in the upcoming elections. So they have their guy in there now, and they're set to make billions off of cap and trade... Only their guy seems to be floundering. He needs a sense of direction. So, "Bring on the skit".

What did GE contribute to who in the presidential runup. I can't find that information anywhere, but there are plenty of sources showing that Jeffrey Immelt (the head of GE) is an Obama advisor these days. Obama even jokes about being in bed with NBC and GE: “A few nights ago, I was up tossing and turning trying to figure exactly what to say. Ahhhhhhhhhh...........so since they are asshole buddies, Immelt quills out a papal bull to SNL to do a skit for Obama (who is secretly hoping to glimpse Immelt as the opening monologue) and cleverly hinting that he 'don't get it' and 'what's up with that?', because he finds out that the expiration date on the cell phone batteries is like six months ago and he doesn't want to embarrass himself by pressing the chicklets on the pad. Seems to me that no one here on the left is upset about the skit, yet Sanity you keep trying to make out that we are or should be. Regarding CNN "debunking" it, how many news sources were talking about the skits about sara palin after each show. Seems most of the lefties here couldnt give a rats ass, its comedy.... it doesnt have to be correct or wrong, it just has to be funny.
