One thing I haven't seen mentioned here is a big problem I see when comparing the two sides of an issue. Conservative radio and tv pundits like Limbaugh, Beck and Savage are very much full of crap. They are also entertaining to listen to. They yell, they rant, they go on interesting tangents. They're fun to listen to. On the other hand, liberal pundits on radio and tv make more sense but they are whiney and annoying for the most part. They have just a little too much "let's all hold hands and chant for a better world" flavor to them for my tastes. Since Al Franken went to the senate, I haven't found a single progressive radio personality that makes me forget the trafic jam I'm stuck in.

We don't need to shut Limbaugh up. We need to get a liberal Limbaugh so that we progresives can get all riled up and yell "That's right! I KNEW the conservatives were the devil!" rather than having to listen to Limbaugh and his ilk for the entertainment value and yell "Are you fucking kidding me with this bullshit?"

you forgot sleep-aids.  I remember fans of Mondale in SF Bay area radio back in the old days.  No matter what it had felt like before that, could ONE of them even keep anyone AWAKE?  Christ, they sounded like those somnambulistic bitches that drone like Haitian zombies in the narrative voice overs on PBS nature documentaries.

We need a new Harvey Milk, dammit.  With the Pit Bull "rahhhhr!" of Denis Leary.

It'd been said back in the 80's that the Democrats would spend$$ on anything EXCEPT finding any member of their party with a PERSONALITY.

That affects ALL politics even AFTER election pollbooths close.

A laudable goal, Spinner, but you forget that to rile up audiences and to fill them with fear and loathing is a right-wing populistic exercise. It isn't in the liberal agenda to gather crowds of hysterical supporters who are ignorant of facts.

Yes, sweets, but unless I play the pseudo reasonable vaguely impartial guy, then you, playing the Beckbaugh (that's the mutant offspring of Becks and Rush) can't have anything to react to, and that's like playing cowboys and Indians with one guy from Brokeback Mountain and the Nanna from Kumars at #43.

Still Cowboys and Indians, but not quite flash.

Sorry Sanity, much as I think Beck is a complete and utter twat, Id rather shove a sharp pointy stick in my eyes repeatedly than watch Behar and Maher on Beck.
