Had to share this and I feel this is the place for it because of the quasi-political content of the sticker  (Is that a word?).

The bumper sticker said  "Hitler was a non-smoker"

So am I as a non smoker like Hitler?  and when Obama was a smoker, was he NOT like Hitler but now he is?

But then I got to thinking.  Jesus was also a non smoker (There was no tobacco in the Old World until the 16th century for those who are historically challenged) so..........

Anyways, I'm half venting here and half looking for other insights.  Smokers and Non smokers, what do you think about the sticker?  Witless???? Worse????

"Hitler was a non-smoker".
How is that political? I must be missing something here.

Best bumper sticker I have seen, is  the wife drives a broomstick. The funniest, is, but they are getting kind of scarce now, is the Amway free enterprise sticker, usually to be found on the back of a beat up old banger.

But this issue over smoking, I just wish the governments would come clean about it all, if it is that bad for us, ban it all together and stop reaping the tax from the stuff, as whilst they are still collecting tax from tobacco products, they are being too faced. As to,well, in Britain, we are told smokers cost the NHS more than anyone else, let it be known, due to the high tax on tobacco products, smokers also pay more tax. Now if that tax was put into the health service, I can bet you, it would suddenly become much better for all, but the government squander the revenue made elsewhere.

But yes, I do see the point of the bumper sticker, Hitler was a smoker too, for it is jibing at those who believe themselves better people for being non smokers, and I have come across a few, they look down on smokers as if they were the sole cause of every ill in society. I just look at them as easily educated by those that bear a grudge for political aim.

Yes and it's perfect timing considering Obama's legislative agenda closely matches that other guy's historical agenda. The funny thing is i've never heard a conservative compare Obama to hitler. I've only heard it from the ACORN plants at the protest meetings (you can tell the ACORN plants from their body odor) and of course i've heard "hitler" and "bush" in the same sentence from a significant percentage of the now whining liberals a short 12 months ago.

There is nothing like a reasonable, sensible, rational post. And this is absolutely nothing like a reasonable, sensible, rational post. It takes a whole lot of ....interesting thought process to deny that any conservatives compare Obama to Hitler while comparing Obama to Hitler.

Thank you for your contribution and we hope to hear from you once you're back on your medications.

Really? In what way, pray tell, do they coincide, or even begin to resemble each other?

Well I think there were a few posters put up in Israel calling him a jew hater when he commented on their latest round of potty waving in Palestine. Does that count?

Not at all witless....incredibly creative (requires someone insightful to see the irony inherent).

the stupidest bumper stickers I've ever seen are when people drive around great big gas guzzling Escalades and Hummers with the ribbon magnets on them indicating how much we should pray for our troops and bring them home safely and all that. Don't they realize they're part of the problem? A big part? Hmmmmm..........

Unh, wanna spell out your reasoning here for me? I was not aware that we had troops in harm's way fighting global warming.

K.

(Reference is surely one going to oil and the reasons we've fought most wars since the 1900's).

Maybe we could substiture "Tyra Banks" instead of Hitler? Yeah, that might work... "Glenn Beck is as stupid as Tyra Banks!"

I think you may possibly have come up with the very first human Mobius Loop.

I'm not sure I buy that about fat people being next. Apart from anything else, it'd cost too much to start using cane sugar instead of HFCS in the food, and unhealthy people make the medical insurance companies a lot of money.

It's already started. The airlines are already starting to try to charge overweight people more for airfare. The government is already starting to try to add "fat taxes" to foods high in calories with the stated intention of making them more expensive as a means of fighting obesity (forgetting the fact that it costs more to eat in a healthy manner than to stock up on whatever high calorie crap one can find). The health care debate is already bringing out things like "why should the 'healthy' lifestyle people pay for the fat people who don't care about their health"

This is the same thing they did before they cracked down on smoking. It is coming. Don't fool yourself that it isn't.

Is there anything that the airlines aren't trying to charge more airfare for at the moment?

Not that I'm aware of.

(Gawwwwwdddddd....next thing you know....they'll actually be wanting to make a profit!)
