I had to look that one up.

So many of these things happening any more, that one kind of faded into history.

Ah hell... i thought Big Ben was a UK vibrator... thanks for dashing my hopes, Lucy!

You hear the one about the nymphomaniac who saved up for years to fly to London? She was devastated to find out that Big Ben was just a clock.

My post was not AIMED at you. (Don't flatter yourself) You simply wanted an excuse to come in and stir things up again. Well, I'll indulge you for just a few minutes before I go to bed.
As to the person that was posting on another board about the healthcare being free: You wanted to know who it was so you could jump over there and straighten them out. No need. I've brought that person to you with the following quote:

About Disability. if he is looking for Social Security Disability, tell him to hire a lawyer. Almost all cases, unless it involves renal failure, are denied. Its a fucked up system, and lawyers get a third of the settlement. Better to know going in than to assume they can deny you and it ends there. Its almost like most insurance companies... they rubber stamp denials to see how badly people want/need it. About the house. He needs to talk to a lawyer about that as well. Maybe an estate lawyer? There was also a way to stay in your home, and get payments on the mortgage. Its like your selling the house, but being allowed to stay there for a time. Im not sure of all the ins and outs of that... like i said.. a lawyer would be his best bet._____________________________
Hindu proverb: "True nobility lies not in being superior to another man, but in being superior to ones previous self."
Look familiar? It should. You wrote it. Yet when I complain about my health (and you take a peek at my profile), you take great pleasure in assuming that:
Your a job away from no health insurance... but, with your health problems, your probably on some form of disability so you dont have to worry about that.

It's hard to tell from what you say if you're for or against disability. Imagine what a crap shoot it is going before a disability judge. (And by the way, I'm not on disability. Wrong again.)

And by the way, what you were attempting to describe is called a reverse mortgage - another way to sell your home to the government. But that was part of his problem, wasn't it? Oh, don't be bothered by the details! Let one of those blood sucking lawyers who get 30% help him out.

LOL

Two huge differences.

One.. its Master Orion, who has my upmost respect.

and Two... Its Master Orion, who, in my opinion, has earned the respect on these boards.

Besides, conservatism smells pretty good on a man.

Since your post is aimed at me, i will respond.

quote:

Don't really care if you respect me or not. This is supposed to be a forum for open discussion, but I rarely post because it ALWAYS degrades to name calling and finger pointing.

Its a political board. We pull apat each others posts, find the inaccuracies and rip them to shreds. Its done on eveery political board i belong too. If you cant stand the heat, get out of the kitchen, baby.

and, yes, god like Bush was poorly mistreated... how dare Obama come along and outshine him! Bad Obama... bad Obama!

Political boards are for discussions, not to pull apat each others posts, find the inaccuracies and rip them to shreds. It may be done on every political board you belong to because that's what you seek out. With over 3,000 posts in two years on this site alone I don't know how you have time to work a full time job. Or maybe you don't. Maybe you sit back collecting your unemployment or disability and complaining to anyone who will listen. You certainly sound like a very bitter person.

and, yes, god like Bush was poorly mistreated This makes no sense to me. How dare Obama outshine him? Outshine him how? By being more mistreated? The whole thing is babble.
As for getting out of the kitchen, I always do when I'm ready to. I don't feel a constant need to come back and "tear other people's posts apart".

As many here will tell you, one news channel feeds from another. They all cite the same souce until a different cource finds a sensational new twist. Again, you ar believing what you ar told by someone else, instead of doing the research yourself. Now, i ask... what thread are the talking about "free" healthcare, because i looked, and i dont see it, and i would really love to jump into the middle and clear up that misconception as i did about death panels and what was REALLY in Obama's health care plan... the original 1000 page one. By all means, SEE ABOVE!

As for knowing better because I was in the military: If there's one thing I learned, it's that you follow whoever is in charge. If the person in charge changes, you immediately follow THAT person. There's no 'transition' and anyone who told you there is was lying to you. The whole idea behind the military is that you follow orders without question by whoever is in command and if you don't, you can serve out your time in Leavenworth.

Ah yes. Obama the family man. You were obviously in such a hurry to tear apart my particular post that you didn't bother to read that my objection was not really in the money they spent to include their children, but the image they're projecting. And by the way, if they use any security or transportation provided by the government, date night no longer becomes "free".
Because you all seem to think I'm some kind of child hater who can't stand to see Obama make over his children with his wife beside them while on a diplomatic mission, let me put it in terms you can better understand.
Right now, the history channel is running a special about the Kennedy assassination. (When are they not?) Imagine for a moment that JFK, being the family man that he was, decided that seeing as how they were just going for a drive (yes, I'm being sarcastic), they take the children along? It certainly wouldn't cost any more to put two of them in the back seat and then the country could see what a great family man he was. What kind of scars do you think they would have carried into adulthood IF they had managed to survive? Knowing all the countries out there that absolutely hate our guts, do you think it's a good idea to show up in a foreign country with 'kids in tow'? Use your heads! They might as well have bullseyes painted on their foreheads!

As to everyone on here being midline, HA! I've never seen so many left wing liberals gather together in one place! You make the mistake of thinking because you're socially liberal, you should be so in your politics as well. I don't happen to follow that kind of thinking.

As for my reading and watching of the news...I know exactly who to watch if I want to see what the left is thinking and who to watch if I want to know what the right is thinking. I'm an avid reader and I don't need any encouragement to take a little time away from these boards to sit down and read a good book.

Now then, for those of you who love your links, just watch for my next post. I won't be doing much talking because, well, it's not necessary. I have links!!!

Mistress Scarlet

BTW tazzygirl...I suggest the next book you read should probably be the dictionary.

Hummm.... that must be the reason they (the teabaggers official organizers) felt they had to use fake photos of the supposed "turnout" on the national mall...   Wow... 100,000 teabaggers turned out all over the nation... throughout the whole summer, huh?

Um, you DO realize that the Gay March on Sunday (Oct. 11) was over 200,000? In one afternoon? (They didn't even have to fake the photos!) So... even compared to a sexual minority, you guys are a minority... (You could say, in terms of turnout for protests, teabaggers are the bitches of the GLBT community.) LOL

You're so out there that it's almost like shooting fish in a barrell.
I have a good friend who has been following this little movement and attending some of their little parties. Two guys in the Westchester, Ohio area were sitting around their kitchen table when they decided to put one together, counting on no more than around a few hundred participants. The news claimed a turnout of a mere 2,000. In actuallity they had a turnout of about 20,000. The trick is not to go to the news, but to the local fire department instead. They have to keep the actual numbers for safety reasons. That's where my friend went when he didn't believe the numbers. They also had a tea party at a little known place in Cincinnati called Fountain Square. No need to fake anything here.

You do know that the picture first released by teh teabaggers that claimed some ridiculously large turnout on 9/12 failed to include a 5+ year old museum that should have been visible in the shot and the second photo showed bare trees and construction work on a different building that had been completed something like a decade ago?

IOW they lied and we have the proof.

I take back what I said in the other thread about you never actually making an argument of your own. This, clearly, is an argument in your own words.

But I think I liked the other way better. This makes no sense to me on any level. You're suggesting that the president shouldn't take his family with him when he travels because it would be too traumatic or dangerous for them if he gets assassinated while they're with him? It would somehow be easier for them to deal with if they just watch it on  TV?

Jesus. I'm just shaking my head here. I don't even know where to start with stuff like this.

Makes no sense to you? How could I make it any clearer?
My father committed suicide a few years ago. He had no option available to him except a rifle he kept in the den. While my mother was catching a cat nap (we knew he was cotemplating it because he was in the last stage of cancer), he managed to get a hold of the rifle. He took it outside and basically blew his face off. My mother had to find that mess and to this day she can't get the picture out of her head. I, on the other hand, was hundreds of miles away. When she called me to tell me what happened, she went into detail about what had happened. Now I know exactly what happened and how hard it must have been for her, but I wasn't there. I didn't actually SEE the awful things she saw. I may know what my father did, but it's much easier for me to put it out of my mind. For my mother, on the other hand, it is virtually impossible for her to ever forget.

So yes, if something were to happen I believe it would be best if the children weren't standing right next to him. Get it now?

There were people posting that it would be free, but you never bothered to correct any of them. Yet, when I come in here and essentially 'out' you, this is the best you can come up with.

There's nothing wrong with my reading comprhension. I actually have a farily high IQ and scored in the top 5% of the nation on my SAT. English and literature were my favorites. I actually helped my ex husband with the papers he had to write for college and he made A's and B's.

Done here. You can all either keep shaking your heads or do what you love to do best and shred what little I've said. Doesn't matter once I've left. If I get bored enough, I'll come back, but I doubt it. I lose my patience to quickly with people who refuse to see any side but their own no matter how it's presented.

Sure, that part's easy to understand. I'm really sorry about your father, by the way. My condolences. I can't imagine how hard that must have been for all of you, and I hope everyone's doing as well as possible with it.

The part that I don't understand is the whole thought process that leads you to think that for some reason, the risk of a president being assassinated is so great that it's irresponsible of him to let his family be in his immediate vicinity while he's traveling. That's the part that makes no sense to me  at all. It sounds like that woman who was worrying last week that the human race might be in danger because NASA crashed a probe into the moon. She couldn't explain why she thought it was dangerous; just figured it had to be somehow. Is there some reason you feel that risk is so high?

I read every post in the "One reason we need medical reform and better economy" thread, because that was the closest thread title I could find  to what you remembered, and I can't find one single person saying one single thing about how we're all going to be getting "free health care" - which was your original claim. I spent a half hour going through every health care thread for the last two weeks, and again, couldn't find one single person saying one single thing about how they expect to be getting "free health care." In fact, I don't remember ever seeing anyone here claiming  we're all going to be getting "free health care." So where, exactly, is this "lie" you say you caught Tazzy telling? Can you link us to the posts that prove she's a liar?

You came to stir up trouble.. and couldnt find any... lol.

I dont lie.  I dare you to prove i did.  The thread in question is the one Panda-a-a-aaaaaa (edited to correct the typo on your name, Panda..lol) pointed out.. but.. allow me to go through the steps.. so you can really comprehend.

Lockit started a thread on the political board entitled...

"One reason we need medical reform and better economy"

http://www.collarchat.com/m_2841943/tm.htm

My post is as follows on that thread...

About Disability. if he is looking for Social Security Disability, tell him to hire a lawyer. Almost all cases, unless it involves renal failure, are denied. Its a fucked up system, and lawyers get a third of the settlement. Better to know going in than to assume they can deny you and it ends there. About the house. He needs to talk to a lawyer about that as well. Maybe an estate lawyer? There was also a way to stay in your home, and get payments on the mortgage. Its like your selling the house, but being allowed to stay there for a time. Im not sure of all the ins and outs of that... like i said.. a lawyer would be his best bet.

http://www.collarchat.com/fb.asp?m=2845855

That is the link to my post.

Now, when i reviewed the thread, the only time i saw the word "free" was in a post made by Sanity.. as follows...

Because if it were easy (as it is here) the people migrating to Canada in order to gain access to "free" medical care there would bankrupt your system, possibly to the point of collapse. Wouldn't it?  Thats why here, wave after wave illegals (always granted some form of amnesty) will kill us if we implement any kind of a "free' health care system.

But, you will note that was not the reason for the thread.  I addressed the problem Lockit was posting about.  Sanity and i have been round and round about "free" health care... even he doesnt believe it will be free.. lol.. we all know it wont.  And, since Lockit's post appeared on the political boards, and most who come here read the majority of the threads, there was no reason to hi jack Lockit's thread that was a request for advice.

I honestly hope that clears things up for you.  No one else seems to have a problem with this.  Am i pissed?  not.. just completely confused and wondering who you truly are behind the domme mask.

Dont judge me because I sin differently than you.
If you want it sugar coated, dont ask me what i think! It would violate TOS.
