ORIGINAL: tazzygirl lol... you have no way to understand what im saying, especially as a white male.. so im not going to argue with you about this... while many can be bought... there are exceedingly more who cannot. many in the NFL have already come out against playing for Rush... and i think the players should have a voice in the decision as to whom they have to play for. We dont allow racism in the work place... and this IS another workplace. The NFL is a huge business.. and these players do have special talents. If they have another bidder who will even come close.. Rush wont get the nod. Actually, they do have that right, entirely. According to the NFL statutes and by-laws, any person, persons or organization that wishes to purchase an NFL team not only must have the means to do so, they also must be approved by the NFL players union, owners union and other team owners. It's already very common knowledge that he does not have that approval, from a majority of any of the three, much less a majority of all three. In fact, he has a HUGE majority that have already said, "IF it goes far enough that we vote on it, we're saying 'No.'." quote:
ORIGINAL: DarkSteven I have nothing but contempt for Limbaugh. That said, if a diehard liberal or a diehard conservative wants to buy a football team, let them. Hell, Ted Turner is pretty liberal and he bought the Atlanta Braves with nary a peep from anyone. Well, that and he tends to keep his mouth shut more often than Rush, and is actually a good businessperson.
