I found a sheer, stretchy, no pads, non-underwire bra at forever 21 a couple months ago and bought three of them. 2 black 1 white

Interestingly, i went shopping for bras recently, and had the biggest trouble finding a bra for a DD cup without said padding. Now, there is no way i need to be "enhanced".

Now if it was really simple like a torn seam, that you could mend and it'd be good as new nobody would ever notice, that's fine, but if it was something like a seriously crooked zipper or something, not so fine.

I noticed that it's like that with a lot of bra's some have so much padding they can stand up on their own, and look like they have boobs in them already, some bra's are minimizers for the girls who're large but want to be minimally smaller, and then there's stupid underwire, Which I heard somewhere is bad for the health of your breast, and so are minimizers because they squeeze the breast tissue to make it look smaller.

It's very hard to find a good sensible functional bra with out bells and whistles sometimes.

I haven't gotten a chance to go into those two, well I did with Marshalls but I didn't have money to spend so I figured no point in going in to window shop I'm not a window shopper, if I am going to "window shop" I am doing it to find something to buy.

I mainly was thinking of Ross Dress for less. Of course they may be cheap and TJ's and MArshalls may not.

btw I checked out herroom.com and their 18 hour playtex bra's skip a size every size it's like they have a 32 b and a 34 b and then they go 36 b and on and on and on, but the don't have 48 DDD'S just 48 C so you may not be able to find your size there. It could just be the one style of bra I was looking at.

I might suggest going to the MAC website:

and seeing if there is a featured look that you both like and then she can go to the MAC counter and explain that she doesn't know how to apply eye make up... they can do one eye and she can do the other under their tutoring.

If she is big busted but small everywhere else then buying separates will be an easier option for finding the correct fit.

These folks might be helpful to you, when it comes to custom bra fitting.

The folks at Victoria's Secret swear that I'm a 38C. however, a local custom bra fitter laughed and said, 'Honey, not with those, you're not. You're a 34E.' Uh.. wow. Slight difference there.

I have been using Clinique makeup for about a decade. The ladies at their counter are often happy to do an on-the-spot make up session. If you request one with an appointment and specific look, yes, they ask you to buy commensurate product... (I had Clinique do the make up for my wedding.) But for a quickie, you could get away with mebbe just a tube of mascara or a lipstick...

For bras, find a store that specializes in foundations. Meaning bras and girdles. They will be able to fit you correctly, a department store won't.

For clothes, any upscale department store will have personal shoppers, meet with one, explain the problem and they will find you appropriate clothing styles which she can copy from then on.

Clothing plays an important part in the whole "girly" thing. But don't forget there is more. So here's a bit of random and drowsy thoughts on the matter.

You have a perfect oppertunity for some good old fashion self-realazation. When you do go shopping, the choises may be overwhelming at first, until that magic moment when she figures out "what's her". Then just stand back in wonder when she zeros in on that lavander lacey top out of a store full of pink florals.

Items of grooming- Just having the proper tools is important. Invest just a little in good hair and make up brushes, nail-care instraments, and so on, it makes a big difference. A ritual like method to maintaining beauty is helpful to some. Having nicer tools for your rituals makes for a better expirience all around.

Scent- Yep, gotta involve those other sences. Find a body-spray you both like, than take a mist bottle and mix half with the spray and half with water. Spray on laundry as it's folded or hung to be put away. Keep sachets or plain old un used dryer sheets in your drawers. Perfume is nice, and it's a very girly thing to figure out which scent is right for you. Then there is that old question of "where to wear it?"

Accessories- This department gives some deffinate insight into personal style. And with cold/flu season coming on, please do not neglect the importance of the hankerchief. A paper tissue is just nothing next to a chamomile scented bit of silk or linen for that uninvited public sniffle.

Okay, the little brain is pretty tired now. But the point i rambled very far from was that; being feminine is something she must feel. If this is to happen, one must work a little deeper. i'd say go to the library or book store and let her get the basics of bellydance down, this is a pretty sure fire way to get a girl happy in her own skin. Who knows where that might take you.
