What would I have to do in the Netherlands if I wished to run a credit report on you?

I'm not sure. I have a strong feeling we should have to be seriously discussing you giving me a mortgage or something like that.

That said, the aftermath of 9/11 is visible here. We have as yet no patriot act, but several rights are definately crumbling. Since last year, we now have to carry ID cards at all times. We can be searched without a clear suspicion. Suspects can be detained longer. A new proposal is allowing the DA to keep information from the defence for two years, if necessary (read: if someone utters the word terrorism). ISP data is soon going to be kept for years.

Please note again that all of the above crumbling has been done by the most right wing government in decades. Sounds familiar?

Roel

Indeed! Here in the states the right-wing is famously supposed to be the defender of individual liberties - how odd that it is under their leadership that we are losing almost all of our substantive liberties.

Well, they also were seen as the most "conservative" group as far as the use of funds and in controlling spending.

Any moment now, I expect to encounter a Red Queen and a pair of overweight twins.

John, my advice is:
When life gives you Wonderland, make mock turtle soup!

Hugh Addonizio, Brendan Byrne, and that Senator WhatsHisName. lol

What would the country be without a place like New Jersey, and its jackass politicians.

This post really brought back memories.

Would I post differently if They knew who I was? He11, no.

"Day can go fvckmselfs and yu momma too, eh?" lol
