Well maybe not cooking cooking, that's probably not the right word, but flavoring rice, or something, stuff like that.quote:
ORIGINAL: DemonKia There are processes for clarifying grease to prepare it for uses such as soap. & the making of the soap itself will change the chemical composition, & thus the odor, of the grease . .. . . . The sad fact is that, as food, hamburger is some of the lowest quality meat out there (unless you specifically shop for otherwise), especially if you're buying cheap hamburger. & the resulting fat is just not very good for cooking, for many palates ... . . Animal fats that are regarded as excellent for cooking are: most pork (especially salt pork & bacon & that kinda thing); chicken fat; goose & duck fat . . ... . Even better cuts of beef are not usually noted for the utility of their drippings, outside of gravy for the roast . .. .. quote:
ORIGINAL: Toppingfrmbottom I thought you were joking lol. Wouldn't you smell like hamburger if ya used hamburger fat lol.?quote:
ORIGINAL: mnottertail I have given you good replies and that one was no bullshit either, to make soaps and surfactants you need fat and lye....... so look up soapmaking (HEY EVEN HERE THRU SEARCH) dont come the wounded soldier to me charlie, you put it out here, and you take what you get. That is all for now. Ron
