When I was up in New Hampshire this past summer many people I know up there expressed great displeasure with Rep. Carol Shea-Porter.
And she's only halfway through her first term.
A good example of a Rep. getting in office and doing what "they" think is right and not what their constituents want them to do.
You don't ignore The People and stay in office for long in New Hampshire.

Well, Hitler is, so why shouldn't Stalin?

So why did you go into Iraq, then?

Because of them WMD thingies.

You know.

The thingies we knew they had, we knew where they were, and we invaded to remove those thingies.

Mission accomplished!

The thingies that no trace of has ever been found and which several of the intelligence researchers who provided them as a pretext for the invasion now insist that they made up, you mean?

Sanity, they're being taught in school today that the use of tyrannic force, mass murder, and political oppression is an exclusive tool of the right, both historically and today.

They're being taught that the KKK consisted exclusively of Republicans.

They'e being taught that only Republicans have led our country into war, directly or indirectly, and the reason always is to support big business and profits that make greedy businessmen even richer.

They're being taught that we deserved to be attacked on 911.

They're being taught that we went into Iraq solely because Bush's father didn't like Hussein, that we wanted profits for politicians' oil-rich pals, and because the Vice President made money on Haliburton.

They're being taught that insulting President Bush was patriotic, and that questioning President Obama is racist.

I hear these things from my students, and from my son in high school, but it's seeping in at all levels. Did you see what was on Sesame Street lately?

From your students?

So the "they" that are teaching these things must be you.

Another typical failure in logic, unless you think Nemesys is the only teacher that his students have.

Just as an aside, did anyone else catch John Stewart's riff on Glenn Beck the other night? He was absolutely dead-on in his apeing Beck's delivery and insane leaps of logic... I was rolling by the time they pulled out the blackboard....

Absolutely.

CNN.com - Bush makes historic speech aboard warship - May. 1, 2003

Admiral Kelly, Captain Card, officers and sailors of the USS Abraham Lincoln, my fellow Americans, major combat operations in Iraq have ended. In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed.

Are you trying to say President Bush was untruthful?

You understand how this started out don't you? MM was calling Sarah Palin a "Stalinist" and he insists on calling Conservatives who associate with her "Palinists" and so its remarkable that you're so pointedly asking this of me...

But since you asked, there are elements on the far left who would take us down that same path. I recall certain Progressives on these boards "joking" about how funny it would be to deny Conservatives health care, for example, and the presidents "war" on FOX News is a bit unsettling.

That was a claim made by the republicans, and rebuffed by the same...I remember YOU saying it was "unartfully worded" not a claim, it was pathetic then and it is pathetic now.
I bought the topic up for discussion.
http://www.collarchat.com/m_2780745/mpage_1/key_deny%252Crepublicans%252Chealth%252Ccare/tm.htm#2780745
and you really expect people not to make fun of it....it was so paranoid and so bloody ridiculous, it WAS laughable.
Yes I laughed, in the context, I laughed, and continue to laugh and take the piss out of people who STILL believe all the death panel bullshit.

I'm not sure why that is such an offensive suggestion.

You are campaigning against government health care but are complaining of being excluded if it passes?

It brings to mind "to thine own self be true".

Now now Rule, you have to have a concept of truth that begins to even slightly relate TO the truth to do that.

I am objecting to "Progressives" joking about withholding health care to my family because of my politics.

But Sanity isn't it Gov't Health Care that you are personally opposed to?
