ORIGINAL: Moonhead A couple of points: one there is a constitution limiting the PM's powers, and two, the POTUS is a lot more powerful than any PM we've had over here since the end of the second world war. Britain no longer has the money or the military forces it used to during the Victorian era, whereas America has a lot more of both. we dont have a constitution, and whilst acting through parliament the pm has no more actual power other than that of co-ercion of other mps, he does have the power of executive order in the name of the queen (we could solve that by getting rid of the queen) they arent used much but we've done some pretty nasty shit with them. (like stealing that indian ocean island off its inhabitants to give to teh yanks)
