Status: offline 		Umm, even if they are intersexed and have testes up there, as was reported about Caster, it's still not obvious without a pretty serious examination. Even the medical play types who use a speculum probably aren't going to have the kind of equipment to attach to it to tell them anything meaningful.

Also, a lot of women, even submissive ones, don't get turned on by having fingers jammed up there without any foreplay. I suppose that could be viewed as a "problem."

No joke! I did that the first time beth and I were together.

I had her go across the room and undress for me slowly while I sat in an overstuffed chair, fully dressed, sipping on a drink. I directed what was removed and how. Once naked I had her put her hands behind her head and turn around slowly a few times. she posed, bent, stretched, and ultimately crawled over to me. I always got the impression that they inspected just for the simple reason that they could and it was a turn on.

Andalusite,

I'm at a loss as to why everything must be taken in a sexual context. Simply because He desires to see her nude and review her body from head to toe doesn't mean there's a sexual reason behind His actions. You appear to be fixated on the idea of STD's, which was not the basis of my comments as previously stated. It is possible He is interested in her hygiene, condition of skin, etc. There could be a host of reasons why. Just because they do not come to mind for you and your situation doesn't imply they're nonexistent.

I can honestly say that the only times where I was nude and "reviewed" and it wasn't sexual was at the gynocologists office.

Status: offline 		Keyword is "negotiation". Sounds like you need to sharpen your skills in negotiation. If you want to do the inspection scene and he wants to keep the details of it a surprise--well then you review your limits.. and get a reassurance that none of the things you are uncomfortable doing will be included in the scene. He doesn't have to tell you exactly what he'll do, as long as you feel comfortable that nothing you are unwilling to do will be included. Make sense?

I love doing inspection scenes with someone new, and like to refer to the body parts as "mine" in casual play (per your other post). However, I ask ahead--are you cool with it? And i explain a bit why I feel this way. Everyone's said "fine" and it's gone ok, but you seem to have some trust issues and I don't think that you'll be "fine" no matter how much reassurance you have.

Is your question is really "what's an inspection?" Seems a lot deeper and more about your uncertainty on how the dom will treat you---are you potential valuable property, a treasured pet, a toy, a partner who likes to be on the bottom. At this time you are unsure what kind of relationship this dom and you will form, so maybe you need to talk about the expectations for you both for the d/s relationship before you agree to an inspection.

Aileen,

It could be or it could not. Querying strangers will invite in a host of opinions, but the only one that matters is the person the op is conversing with. Perhaps there's some ambivalence about asking directly, I'm uncertain. Having done this myself I can admit I didn't feel sexual, but very vulnerable instead, but in a good way. I enjoyed having to expose myself and being made to face certain things. It was a positive experience for me.

OP:

1) how long have you known him?
2) have there been meetings to get to know you ;the WHOLE woman?
3) have you negotiated any of A realtionship?
4)do you feel you are IN a relationship?

I have had male subs says "Will you inspect me right away?"
adn I wonder  "What for'...?
I want to KNOW you..
I think the inspection thing is an erotic fantasy( from slaves on the block movies etc)...and also
at times..a PLOY...a MANIPULATION pure and simply aimed at
naive and unsure ppl.
I think is is insideous that some do this but they do....banking on the fact that some poor male or female will think this is a standard thing "we" do...

If so then go for it..if not..then follow your instincts..

Status: offline 		You know, I've been thinking about this thread.  Over the years, I admit to having *ahem* participated in a few of these scenes (Mr. Merc hit it on the nail).  Met the guy in a hotel, did what we did, etc... but you know what?  It was all well and good.  Of course I had some safety things in place.  And I never do bondage.  And I know how to get from point a to point b.   It's true that we all decide on the risk and then do as we wish.

Status: offline 		When I am considering a new sub, I use the following proceedure.  Mail on here to start, progressing to e mail offsite.  Then if I think the sub is worth taking further there at least two to three vanilla meetings with various discussions.  Only after this do I require an 'inspection'.  This is because I cannot use a sub who is not physically attractive to me and there is only one to find that out.  It also allows me to assess how comfortable (or not) he is in his own skin.......
