Well if by 50ish household you mean we're both in our fifties, then we resemble that remark!

But honestly the whole premise of this thread is nonsensical. The question implies that all slaves are identical and interchangable. That they would all be pleased to be given a new slave blanket or a book on the Middle Ages or a cd of Barry Manilow.

Look folks, we are individuals. So those of you who don't bother to think about your s types and get them something that speaks to them, don't be surprised if you just get an ugly tie from the local thrift shop. Because what's good for the goose is good for the gander. And if all s types are exactly the same, then so are all D types.

Don't want to get something impersonal? Then don't give one like that. You lead the way, if you want to lead badly then expect at some point to look around and see there's nobody following you.

GREAT new avatar picture BTW! It points to what I want for Xmas - My own 'insider' designation on CM! I hate being one of the many 'insane' people. The only ones that immediately comes to mind are the succinct, appropriate: Resident Sarcastic Prick, or Proud Sadist. But they don't work when beth posts.

Is there a secret meeting of the 'CM Illuminate' that discuss these things and make a determination? Some 'Sergeant At Arms' handing out 'Royal Ancient Order of the Swiss Chard' pledge pins, disclosing the secret handshake, and assigning names? Or is it more formal and there is a secret, 'Omega Fraternity' style, right of passage? If so, I'm happy to volunteer beth for any paddling - "thank you sir may I have another." is one of her favorite phrases.

Is it like the catholic church requiring the purchase of a plenary indulgence?

Hum -
1) A life estate in the home so no one can take it from her if her master dies.
2) A trust to provide for her basic needs because I've seen too many girls get themselves into bad situations because they were dependant on someone who left them or died.
2) Marraige so if her master dies or turns out to be a major ass she has rights to protect her future.
3) ONE I'm sorry get out of trouble free card because everyonce and a while everyone just screws something up.[:(]
4) A new hard limit card where she can write down a new hard limit and give it to her master because our body, beliefs, and tastes change over time.
5) A gift that makes her wet when she thinks about it.
6) A gift that makes her wet and also makes her pray "God don't let him use that anytime soon." Because just walking over and touching it can mess with her mind.[image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m28.gif[/image]
7) A travel card because I like to travel and I am not a mind readed so I would like to know where she wants to go once a year.  
8) A if master liked it also wish list to fill out because too often slaves have a what ever master wants makes me happy so I won't say anything atiitude. (Probably have to limit this as in she can only list one pair of boots and one outfit. Otherwise it might be filled with clothes and shoes!)
9) A rewards list because honestly if a horse does a good job it gets a reward. Heck I sometimes reward a horse just because it makes me feel good to see their joy. So why would I not reward a slave.
10) LOVE - because everyone deserves that and it is my Christmas/Yule wish to all of you here.
