To EeveryOone Eelse... thank Yyou for Yyour remarks. Yes my friend knew of the policies, and also accepts that what he/she did was wrong. Personally when i am at work i do not even look at my regular yahoo e-mails unless i know for a fact company policy allows for such.

It sure does lol.........I would check in to alt.com while at work a couple of years ago........and one day my employer asked me if I had done so.............I said yes, while trying to not shit my pants, and was told if it happened again, I would be fired..............so, yes, be careful.

Going to sites like this, alt., bdsm chat room, etc...sets the company up for sexual harrassment liability. All it takes is one person walking by, seeing something "questionable" on your screen, and filing a claim.

Most work environments try to keep "sexual content" wayyyy out of the office. It is just safer for them that way.

i worked in a place years ago, they didnt care what anyone did online. One guy was printing out prospective brides from Russia. No one really cared. Other companies are much more conservative about that stuff. All it takes is one claim and they get skittish. Particularly if it is an employer in the public eye. For example, you wouldn't want your child wellfare office receptionist having sex pictures up when clients come in...that would hit the news in a heartbeat.

I used to be a disptacher for one of local Cab companies.... it can be a hectic, stressful job... knowing that the lives of on average 15-45 drivers are in your hands. Needing to know their where abouts all the time should they call in for help. <Except for the few that thought they need not to tell me where and what they were doing feeling nothing would or could ever happen to then..>

But like most jobs like that.. there are those dry patches... (between Military paydays, welfare checks, etc.... ) Phone not ringing, drivers actually not using the radio to talk to one another... ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what to do!... finger nails are filed... painted... book got actually boring... dizzy from spinning around in the chair after awhile.... LOL Oh I know.. break out the laptop and see what's going on in favorite ( fav site placed here)

Phone rings.. you take call.. dispatch the call... forget you're on internet... boss walks in.. looks... and what does he see... ohhhh his dispatcher is a submissive.... hmmmmmm... opening he's been looking for to make his advance....advance turned down..... threatened to be fired... called on... still working.. but things are made rougher....

Is it all worth it..... like I said... I USE to be a dispatcher.. for a local Cab Company...

Being on the internet didn't bother the owner at the time.. he would sit in office and play on pogo himself.. LOL... we use to play against each other with certain games.... but it only took that 1 time... quit the job.... 20 years of friendship shot down the drain.. we live and learn...
