That was explained to me as well tazzygirl, and i too try to live by that. With or without a Dom. i try to be a reflection of those I have served or was married too, but that is just me. I would not want to represent their teachings in a bad light. Yes, i too can get itchy to blast some, but i always have to ask myself for what purpose? To me a Dom who needs to blast a whole group of people, would not be worth my serving them, in the first place. I been fortunate to learn that these types you don't want to serve. In that mental set, I find it is best to let them do what they must, and for myself to stay clear off them. Nothing they can teach me, that would help me to be a better s-type. Also as stated putting a title to one doesn't make them so, so much of their behaviors have become red flags for me. I am glad for that, helps to weave through the many to find the one.

I am a slave to my owner, nubian muscle. I show him respect. I serve him without question. If I served every man that slapped on a “dom” label like I serve him, he would definitely take issue. He respects my opinion, my thoughts, my spunk. He allows me to express myself openly in these forums with the knowledge that he is the only one other than the mods that I answer to.

Coming back to this thread I face users addressing me in a hostile manner, claiming I misread, change my story and calling me sparky and dude and stupid and disrespectful, assuming I claim they should listen to me and asking me who I think I am and what I plan to do about (their) worthless behaviour. I do not recognize myself in your words and when I misread it will not be anything on this site.

No one has been hostile towards you, though I wouldn't be surprised, or care, if they had, given your history. What they HAVE been is tolerant of your rant and offered their opinions on your post, which you REQUESTED. If you are unable to take opinions which you have asked for, you probably need to go acquaint yourself with a mirror and ask yourself - "Am I really dominant in nature and true to myself, or someone whose sole intent is to delude myself and then whine to the world when I don't get my way."

I didn't bother to read through the majority of the responses but as a Dom and owner of a slave, I still recognize that my slave is still a person with thoughts, intelligence, feelings and yes, even a will of her own; even though she has given control over her will to me. Hell, there are even plenty of times when I am right and she is wrong and I freely admit that. A dom/domme who doesn't think a sub has anything smart to say or something they can learn from is pretty immature and stupid, in my opinion. Too many "doms/dommes" think that just because they call themselves that, someone who is labeled as a sub/slave owes them reverence in addition to respect. Reverence is reserved for the "dom/domme" that that person has pledged themselves to, not for every person who slaps themselves with a title. Too often "doms/dommes" have no control over themselves, yet expect to be able to control someoene else, whether it is their property or not. That, IMO, is just an ego trip and a sign of a weak individual.
