On topic....Looking forward to the holidays. Going up to Chicago in 2 weeks to get together with a group from another site. Hard to believe it is December and almost the New Year!

Hi Kia,

Good to see you again . . .

First time I've ever contributed to one of these 'roll call' threads - and not a lot to say.  I've come to certain conclusions about certain things.  That's about it.  Ecksmas to be spent with vast numbers of family members, as usual.  I'll be able to catch up on all the new and imaginative ways they've found of hating each other.  My dream winter holiday - holed up in a rented cottage somewhere up in the Scottish Highlands with the woman of my fantasies - remains just that: a dream.

I did, recently, meet one femdom from here - and the meeting was just the way, deep down, I'd always expected it to be.  That is, she turned out to be a nice, kind, fun lady. This was despite tremendous efforts by her beforehand to convince me that she was a cranky, spiky-tempered, deranged fruitbat. 

Soon she'll be living nearby and I'll be happy to count her as one of my friends.  Who knows - one day, I may even let her penetrate my inner circle.

I'll be spending the first half of this month recovering from the partial hysterectomy....while fighting with financial aide because I took a one month term break and their idea of 'no problems' is not my idea of 'no problems'  *laughs*

I'm getting a remote start put in my car this Friday because .... well, because I've decided to spoil myself [:D] .   At least my car will be nice and toasty warm by the time I'm ready to go to work in the morning.

My pet has returned after not quite a week... I had forgotten how loud it is with him here *laughs*.  When I am a bit more recovered I'll be spending a LOT of time helping him get himself back together and back out in the world.

just really really busy!

I'll have free time again. I live in an artist colony now doing many different things, wielding, woodcarving, starting to throw pottery.

Just expanding my abilities. I feel like such a hermit.

V is coming to the UK? This is the biggest news of the thread, but even so,

Its mad here. Nine kitties keep me well exercised - in that I cant sit anywhere 'cause they're lolloping all over the sofa, the chairs, the bed and anywhere else a kitty can get. But theyre all brilliant and I'm so glad no one wanted any more of them - we will wait to see if I'm so glad when the vet bills come in for (ssshhhh! neutering). But then my other cat, the Jaguar, cost me £350-00 on Tuesday just to get the heater fixed.

I was 42 on Tuesday, not that my birthday interests me very much any more, and despite Douglas Adams' prophecies I still dont know the meaning of life, the universe and all that.

And last week I paid my course fees for the first part of my law degree, something which I should have done nearly 25 years ago now but which became impossible what with Mrs Thatcher and parents that couldnt stop popping out more siblings. Having said that, since I qualified as a paralegal a few months back I've been kept so busy with legal work and the research necessary for it that I feel ready to have a crack at the finals paper tomorrow! It will be six years before I qualify and then there's two more years before I can fly solo, but not as just another solicitor, oh no! My intent is as it was 25 years ago to don the wig and gown, (nothing new for me, except for the wig), and hold forth as a Barrister (on £500-00 an hour).
