I add lemon or lime juice (fresh is best, and increases hydration) and a wee bit of sweetner. Also, as gross as it sounds, cut a cucumber, ginger root, lemons and a little fresh thyme and add to a gallon of water. Allow it to refrigerate over night, then strain. Careful with the thyme...it can take over if you add too much.
