I got my diet soda, had my workout yesterday (actually broke out in a sweat) and am looking at the cause of action. a pair of size 22 pants. They are tight on me. I can wear size 22 in slacks and those are loose, but this pair of pants is mocking me. I want to wear these jeans someday, but first I have to get into the habit of working out and that takes about a month to do so.

I can feel the muscles building up on my sides and its a good stretch. Soon, I hope the pecs can boost my breasts up (better than surgery) and my glutes are tighten up. Its just that my belly is not getting the message! Maybe if I get a tummy tuck but Medicare will not pay for that unless I am in the hospital (knew that doctor should have done some lipo when I was having my hysterectomy).

Oh well, today is another day. I got clothes to do, a printer to set-up and Georgie to take out. Now if it wasn't so damn cold!!

I had a similar thing happen.  I put on my skinny (for me) jeans the other day and they are fitting!  You can do it!

Now I want to share this stupid little thing I do.


I get a little nutso with food, and I don't like to share.  So, I have made myself a commitment - I make sure I give the doggies at least a couple of bites of all my food.  It drops a couple calories, but what's important is I learn to share, and I don't get crazy about "Oh no, I'll never have another X (piece of toast, slice of ham, etc)".  And the doggies love me more.  Or so I tell myself.

And the sharing thing - it's working!

It seems this time around my mind and body are rebelling my switch from diet pop to water. Its always made me nausous (i can never spell that word correctly ugh) if i drink it before i have anything in my stomach in the morning, but it seems lately its making in the late afternoon also. I seriously wonder if its a mental thing but i don't pay attention to drinking it in the afternoon, i just grab and drink and i feel sick for a minute or two. Go figure lol.

My major goal this week is to make a list of my menu for the next week and then clean out my fridge and cabinets - go shopping for what is ONLY on my list. By Sunday night, i also want to have pre-cooked or cooked and freeze my grab and goes so i have no excuse to order out or stop and just grab something, i can just come home and throw something in the microwave or in the oven to heat up.

Also, starting Monday, i am taking my happy butt to the Y bt 5-5:30 to swim for 1/2 hour to an hour every day -- except Christmas since the Y's not open. I really need to start using the Y's i am around -- near my home, and the two downtown.

Hell if others can do it and make the effort, i should be able to also -- ya think?

i wondered if it was a mental thing too, because i am the same way (so...we are both nutz?)

A little modification to plain water and i have no problem. I add  lemon or lime juice (fresh is best, and increases hydration) and a wee bit of sweetner. Also, as gross as it sounds, cut a cucumber, ginger root, lemons and a little fresh thyme and add to a gallon of water. Allow it to refrigerate over night, then strain. Careful with the thyme...it can take over if you add too much.

nothing really...just gets you hydrated without the nausea. Ginger (among its other uses) is awesome for the stomach.

but strictly speaking water is nauseous TO you.
water makes YOU nauseated.

So you might be able to form your sentences such that you dont have to spell nauseous, and go for (nau) (seated).

All those vowels in one place are going to even scare the Norwegians, and cause a fright in all but the most fearless of Finns........

So I'm struggling the last couple of days... yes I am.  I even went to the dreaded McD's today.  *hangs head in shame*

I just miss having a big meal... feeling full... And I'm tired.  I go to the gym and I can only do like 30 minutes now.  *Sigh.  Unless I"m in spin class then I have to keep my image up.  [:D]

I've last a bunch of weight, but I feel like something is sneaking up on me.  Any ideas?

Gatorade without sugar in effect. The citrus adds electrolytes and ginger is a well known antinausea. I'd leave out the thyme myself though.

I have what I call "hungry days" when it doesn't seem to matter what I eat, I just can't seem to fill myself up.  Sometimes it's my body telling me it needs more nutrients, sometimes it's my mind telling me I'm missing something emotionally or mentally.  But when I have those days, I try to continue to eat healthy stuff, just more of it.  And I add some carbs, since that's what seems to really make me feel full.  So I have what I call a "fuck-off" day, and I indulge, but just for that one day or that one meal.  Then I go right back on track. 

You're working out a lot & burning a lot of calories. Maybe you're going through a period when your body needs a little higher caloric intake.  Don't have a clue if I'm on the right track here or not.  But I do know that if you beat yourself up about going to McD's or whatever else you decide to eat to get through this period, it can cause quite a setback.  It won't last long.

Hey thanks for the feedback, Linnea!  Definitely you are right about the not beating myself up.  I think that part of what is happening is that I"m eating almost no fat.  And let's face it, fast food is full of fat.  I may need to add more of it into my diet.  I've been doing really well with other things - added more protein recently, but that was at the expense of carbs so I could stay within my limits.  I don't know.  Sigh.  But I am also going to change my exercise routine some - add more dance classes because I love that, and it doesn't feel like exercise... it just feels like fun!  And weights.  I'm adding more weight lifting / strength training because the wings gotta go!

Anyway, you keep up the good work darling!

The tiredness could be your body trying to fight off a cold. Or just its response to lack of sunlight.
