HI all, just a little tidbit i thought i would pass along, even if you walk or such -- try and incorporate HIIT -- High INtensity Interval training. What it does is boosts your work out and calorie burn while you are working out. What you do is set time intervals in your work out where you up what you are doing to go all out. For example, if you walk starting at what ever is easiest for you -- 15 seconds, 30 etc (it will get longer the more you do this) and for those 15 seconds you walk as fast as you can, then bring it back down to what you were doing for a rest period and then when you are recovered do it again. As you get use to it you will start timing yourself for example, if you plan to walk for a 1/2 hour, you warm up for 5 minutes and then minute 6 you run as fast as you can or walk as fast as you can, you bring it back down to a steady pace for minute 7 and 8, then go all out for another minute, rest for 2 etc. There are all different ways of doing this but what you are aiming for is just getting your heartrate up by going all out. This is a really good way of utilizing a maximum calorie burn for the time you are doing your cardio. You can also do cardio normal and then save the last 10 minutes for this it will still boost your calorie burn. Whatever you do however, don't STOP moving after you do the high intensity part, keep going instead of resting as in stoping to catch your breath. Catch it while moving. angel
