I am totally with you on this: quote:
It's easier for me because I live alone, but when I'm surrounded by crap food it's really hard to stay away from the little dishes of M&Ms and the ice cream in the freezer. My darling Aunt Fab has gobs of crap in the house. She puts the cake, cookie jar, donuts, whatever right on the counter in front of where I eat my breakfast! It's soooooooooooo hard. I try to say "I'll have some later" or something like that... or "save me some!" And then they forget. But dang, when it's in front of me all the time, it's oooooooooh soooooooooo hard! I too don't keep that stuff in the house. I have a friend who says she tries to look at that food as "theirs" and that she is stealing it if she takes it. That never worked for me, but it does work for her. In AA, they talk about people, places, and things... to avoid. Sometimes it is that simple - avoiding when necessary. I don't know, but when you figure it out, lemme know!
