Nutrition is a picky thing....You can drop to 1000 calories a day and still not lose as much as someone eating 1800 a day if you arent eating the RIGHT things to make up that 1000 calories. Currently Im at 1450 a day and am working out three times a day. I would not suggest it to most people, but Im working on a competition and am only doing it for a short amount of time. basically, you have to eat the right things together, like, always eat a carb and a protien at the same time. Anddont avoid fats. your body really needs them. just make sure they are the really good fats, like avacado, olive oil, and almonds... For anyone who is actually interested I can type out the science behind why to eat what when, it really helped me to understand WHY I needed to do something instead of just blindly doing what someone tells me.(yea yea, thats probably why Im not a very good sub either)..but I cant do it tonight, I have to be in bed in an hour and Im stalling.... speaking of bed...sleep. defininantly has a big impact on weight loss and is the hardest thing for me to keep under control. I can keep my calories in line, I can work out daily..I cant figure out HOW to get 8 hours of sleep a night and I know it really hurts my progress... Right now Im in the middle of an 8 week fitness challenge with Muscle and Fitness Magazine...its not a major competition, just a fun thing to see who can have the biggest body transformation in the 8 weeks...but Im having to be even more strict on myself than usual and its been tough. Its more more tough emotionally than physically I think.
