Thanks Clumsy.....ya skinny slut.

Last nite I ran by myself...more running than walking this
time & I felt great afterward!
Had a veggie burger on a whole wheat bagel w/just a tomato
on it. Had grapes & a"Fat free Boston Cream Pie" yogurt for desert.

I'm at that horrible part in any diet where weight loss has slowed to a crawl, and motivation is beginning to slide.

I've worked really hard at this since February, and lost exactly 30lbs. I now look like the person in my profile pic again (no, not the bunny...sheesh...).

However, I need to lose another 20lbs if I'm to be within the acceptable BMI range for my age/height/frame. I know I can do it, but I'm struggling....

I am right there with you. I just moved and the fast and/or frozen food meals have been a killer. One would think with all the carrying and lifting, weight loss would at least be steady.

What you beautiful ladies probably need to do is increase your
caloric intake & exercise more. Your body is "complacent" now &
needs a jump start. Eat more proteins/"good carbs" & workout doing extra
cardio workouts.

And be careful where your carbs are coming from....I eat about the same amount of carbs that I used to, but now all my carbs come from fruits and green vegetables instead of from grains and starches...

It took me forcing myself to eat more to start losing weight. I now feel like im CONSTANTLY eating, almost every 2-3 hours Im eating, even if I dont feel hungry. I used to only eat 2 or 3 times a day.

Nutrition is a picky thing....You can drop to 1000 calories a day and still not lose as much as someone eating 1800 a day if you arent eating the RIGHT things to make up that 1000 calories. Currently Im at 1450 a day and am working out three times a day. I would not suggest it to most people, but Im working on a competition and am only doing it for a short amount of time.

basically, you have to eat the right things together, like, always eat a carb and a protien at the same time. Anddont avoid fats. your body really needs them. just make sure they are the really good fats, like avacado, olive oil, and almonds...

For anyone who is actually interested I can type out the science behind why to eat what when, it really helped me to understand WHY I needed to do something instead of just blindly doing what someone tells me.(yea yea, thats probably why Im not a very good sub either)..but I cant do it tonight, I have to be in bed in an hour and Im stalling....

speaking of bed...sleep. defininantly has a big impact on weight loss and is the hardest thing for me to keep under control. I can keep my calories in line, I can work out daily..I cant figure out HOW to get 8 hours of sleep a night and I know it really hurts my progress...

Right now Im in the middle of an 8 week fitness challenge with Muscle and Fitness Magazine...its not a major competition, just a fun thing to see who can have the biggest body transformation in the 8 weeks...but Im having to be even more strict on myself than usual and its been tough. Its more more tough emotionally than physically I think.

ghita, i think you have done amazing, and you have major kudos coming your way.  I hope you are as proud of yourself as you should be and your momentum to continue and you have worked in your competative spirit to keep you motivated -- yeah!  That is what this is about to me -- i think finding that knitch that keeps you moving forward is the hardest part.

i can't speak for all but i personally would love to hear anything you want to offer.  Good luck in your contest.

Ok troops...in the spirit of this thread (as well as my expanding ass) i munched on microwave popcorn that was 97% fat free.

My observations: The 97% that was removed was the TASTE. The 3% that remained was the shit that gets stuck in your teeth.

She goes to the gym all the time and eats broccoli and tuna instead of beer and pizza. And then she gets out her gun and just dares people to bring her donuts.

Sunshine, who pays attention to details.

Yesterday I went into DC & walked about 2 miles & all over the Woodrow Wilson House.  Then I came home & walked from the Metro Station to my sister's house which was another 2 miles.  It took me 45 minutes to walk home, but it really felt good to do it.  Granny is expected home tomorrow evening, so my little mini-vacation is over til next week.

Tonight I treated my sis & bro-in-law to dinner & we walked there & back.  On the way back, we walked quite a bit out of our way, so I got another 2ish miles in today!!  My body hurts a lot, but it feels really good to move too.  I'm able to keep up with my sister, but she's still recovering from that broken foot, so that isn't as great an accomplishment as it sounds.  LOL

The heat is driving me to the mall for walking, does carrying boxes and unpacking them all day count?

Most definitely that counts!!!  I lost a lot of weight just being a caregiver in a 3 story house.

Thank goodness for that! With unpacking and getting ready for houseguests this weekend, I am just running out of time. I have been trying to take the advice about eating more often, and it seems to be helping. Thanks, ghita.

Hey all, just wanted to let you know that tonight is the LIVE finale of TBL for this season, they bring back all the contestants sent home during the season and they compete for 100K and then the 250K and title of Biggest Loser are the 4 people left on the ranch at the end -- Mike, Ashley, Daris and Koli --- Daris and Koli only one will compete for the 250K as they were the lowest last week and the audience got to choose who stays - we find out tonight who won the vote.  ITs starting now on NBC. All of them started 8 months ago they started their journeys by stepping on a scale in the hometown announcing their weight then the teams had to bike a marathon to stay on the ranch.

This is always a fun episode because the transformations and the different people they have become of even the at home players is awesome.

This is one of the only seasons i don't have a favorite to win lol. What's really cool is when they first come out -- the finalist they have the old pic of them walking right next to them.  Its really cool to see.  BUt what's awsome to hear also is the happiness and pride in themselves!!
