Status: offline 		Hey VP, i wanted to say -- you watch yourself girl, make sure you are keeping yourself hydrated adn have your phone on you when you are running. You may want to also wet down a towel and hook it on you somehow.

You girls are crazzzzzyy!! I hate running lol but running in HEAT, i would die.

But you guys should be very proud of yourselves. Way to go. I once bought couch potato to 5K, grins and took it back the next day!!

I mean they really expected you to RUN! geesh.

Anyway, be careful out there!


Ghita, i heard of the Zone and may look into that as something new to learn about. I checked out the website and it seems interesting -- now that i am outside deaths door from my early cold from hell this week, i am going to look into it more this weekend as i recover and read up on it. My dad told me about it years ago when i actually was a fitness slut and i sorta blew it off as "dad" talking. It will give me something new to focus on and learn which keeps me motivated and moving forward. Thanks for the info.

Status: offline 		Have you tried fast walk? I cannot spell the word but it was a fast stepping walking that is almost like jogging but a faster walk. It is common in England.

It is helpful for those who wishes to have a faster pace but not ready for jogging.

I don't like anything wherein i can't catch my breath lol. I used to hate running even when i ran track (and was a pretty damn good quarter horse) in high school. I can't speed walk due to my knees, i would be better off jogging. I am just a whine wuss. I am one who will do interval training just to work out for less amount of time lol.

Status: offline 		Went to the bread store yesterday and mom asked if I was getting honey buns. I told her that it has been over a months since I had any...I loved the little cheer from the angel on my right shoulder...LOL!


Now...to ignore the little devil on the left shoulder wanting raisin bread...the bakery is usually out them when I looking for them...LOL!

Status: offline 		Since i am recovering from a cold and bronchitis from hell this weekend, i went and got The Zone as well as a couple other of the books and i am going to look into this over the weekend.   i think i am gearing back up to hit this hard and get my butt in gear.

I just want a nice pair of crosstrainers...

time for a few weeks in the beginning so I have to agree w/you Ghita.

Aaaarrrrrrggghhhh, I forgot that today was pancake day & had my

Status: offline 		Okay...chasing a nudist toddler is not what I remember fondly...she just stood there and went on the floor.

Luckily that floor is getting bombed tomorrow for fleas. Mom and I got the kiddos while my brother and SIL will kill every flea in the house and yard. Thank goodness I saved the caladryl lotion and steriod cream.

Meanwhile, mom has pneumonia. I think I gave it to her (by accident!).

My sleep patterns have gone crazy. I will sleep for a few hours, then get up and play on the computer for an hour or 2, go back to sleep, get up in 2 or 3 hours and the process goes on.

Told my caseworker and he says that I got too much on my plate. I have to agree with him because I worry about Lizard's schoolwork, getting clothes for her during the sales tax free weekend. Add trying to stop worrying about my SIL. Add trying to get tickets for Lizards' BF so he can travel with her to Dallas to attend an anime convention. Add getting Lizard to planned parenthood to get started on birth control because she is a heavy bleeder (I was the same way when I was her age).

I need a drink...does anyone have a Fuzzy Navel winecooler on hand?

Status: offline 		Shahar, did you post this in the wrong thread because the information you are speaking about to me i don't understand why you posted it in this thread.  And this may sound bad but there is a concept of TMI even on public message boards and whether this matters to you or not, i may have to stop reading your posts because i really don't want to read about your shit, or your kids menstral flow or a baby peeing on the floor or your family having fleas.  Maybe other people enjoy stuff like that but i don't see how all that has anything to do with this thread and seriously think some of its just way to TMI.

Tis better to mouth off around here since I don't have a support group.

The weight lost that I had was fake...the bathroom scales is out of order. The drugs for the hypothyroidism made me gain over 30 pounds in 2 months, so the doctor took me off of them.

I know the the diet person has not called me back to arrange an appointment.

My mind is racing 100 miles a minute.
