The weather people have us with an 80% chance of getting snow this afternoon. Not a common occurence here in SE Texas.

SilverMark -> RE: Snow! (12/4/2009 3:31:13 AM)

I have lived in the Midwest...a lot of snow.....I have lived in Northwest New York more snow that should be allowed anywhere....now, I live in the deep South....No snow and I like it!...A LOT!!!!!!

zephyroftheNorth -> RE: Snow! (12/4/2009 3:35:34 AM)

You can keep it, Level, in fact I'd be glad to send you more if you want it. There have been times when we've had a surplus and the snowclearers run out of places to put it. Just tell me where to send it.

sirsholly -> RE: Snow! (12/4/2009 3:35:53 AM)

I love the snow...unless it involves dangerous driving.

Dayyy-um....both Levelly-poo and HeWhoHasNoHair have bald spots that would be perfect targets!!!

Big ones, too. Hard to miss. Impossible, actually. Well, Ray Charles might have missed, but the average person would have nooooo problem.

LinnaeaBorealis -> RE: Snow! (12/4/2009 3:57:38 AM)

I truly love snow.  I get as excited about it at this age as I did as a child.  Even when I was driving the truck, I would get excited about seeing the first snow of the season.  Ise weird like dat.

Level -> RE: Snow! (12/4/2009 3:58:23 AM)

If it does indeed snow today, it'll be the first time since records have been kept that we'll have had snow two consecutive years.

thishereboi -> RE: Snow! (12/4/2009 3:59:36 AM)

We haven't seen any sign of snow yet, but I have no problems with that. Your welcome to keep it down there.

DesFIP -> RE: Snow! (12/4/2009 4:13:16 AM)

Level, you can have it all. We had our first flurry in October which is way early, and I'm hoping that will be the last.

Level -> RE: Snow! (12/4/2009 4:20:02 AM)

Now, keep in mind, they're saying we'll get about 3 inches, so it's not going to be folks trapped, waiting for St Bernards to rescue them. [:D]

ShaharThorne -> RE: Snow! (12/4/2009 4:39:15 AM)

I live in NE TX Level and the possible chance of snow has the weather folks panties all in a flutter. Me, take it or leave it, I don't give a damn...

CarrieO -> RE: Snow! (12/4/2009 4:49:25 AM)

I love snow!!!  Loved it when I was growing up in the midwest....love it now that I'm in New England...love love love snow!!!!  [sm=cute.gif]

Sorry, got a little excited there, we're suppose to get flurries on Saturday.  I say bring it on.

If you don't get the snow, here's a chance to play with snow anyway... http://www.popularfront.com/snowdays/

Holly
I have no idea where you get these emoticons or how you post them but....I also love snowball fights!!!!  [:)]

sirsholly -> RE: Snow! (12/4/2009 5:20:58 AM)

there is nothing as good as a snowball fight!! The real ones though...not girly throws with that powdered fluff that doesn't stick together. Snow forts build, snow ammo packed and ready to be fired......steamy cups of hot chocolate when done.....

LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sirsholly -> RE: Snow! (12/4/2009 5:22:41 AM)

BTW Carrie...try Smiley Central for the emoticons [:)]

LinnaeaBorealis -> RE: Snow! (12/4/2009 5:24:21 AM)

I lost my taste for snowball fights the day that my sister was hit in the left facial cheek with one & it did something awful & she had to have surgery & she's had a purple dimple on her upper cheek for the rest of her life.  [:(]

But snow angels??  YEAH!!!!!

starshineowned -> RE: Snow! (12/4/2009 5:27:23 AM)

Ah but its a nice Xmas treat for the kiddies in this sauna state that have never seen it. School should be interesting to keep their attention when the flakes start dropping..lol.

ShaharThorne -> RE: Snow! (12/4/2009 5:35:12 AM)

In Henrietta TX, when I was in 6th grade, there was snow on the ground and we had to go to school. I was in social studies and suddenly the snow fell off the roof. the teacher said without missing a beat that it was an avalanche and continied(?) on with the lesson.

Around that time, if ice covered the snow, we would slide on it. Our boots were slick and we slided into the fence line (and have Mom panicing over us).

Hillwilliam -> RE: Snow! (12/4/2009 6:53:37 AM)

One of the only reasons I put up with miami for 18 years was winter weather.  It damn sure wasnt the low crime, easy traffic flow and friendly English speaking people.
