A twelve year old boy saw a homeless man on the sidewalk and started a blanket drive. Word spread, and he collected and distributed tens of thousands of blankets.

But, but, but...  Don't we need gov't programs to do that sort of thing?  Surely we need to make sure this is administered in full accordance with the SEIU contract!

What i meant was... One person in office against the status quo can be like a whisper in the wind. Too many long termers... too many lobbyists... too many behind the scene deals... hand washing and back patting.

Take the Health Care bill. Obama took his message straight to the people. The republicans became so worried, so upset, listening to a man who can convince people of his beliefs, they (republicans) started their campaign of lies... and it still continues as i pointed out to Master Kirata. I dont blame the republicans, i expected no better from them. i do blame the democratic party. too much infighting to get anything done.

End point... if you dont like how the government is run, dont blame the one in office. blame yourselves. voting in the same ole people time and time again, not checking who they are endorsing, who they are playing footsie with, or looking the other way simply because you like how their foot is twitching at that moment.

NO president can change anything without support. He can lead... but only if we back the man we place into office.

Time to clear House.. and Senate. Time for term limits.

Just to be sure....you *are* aware the word is "republican," right?

The more I learn the more I realize how much I don't know so if you want to call me stupid it doesn't bother me. I said it before, but you probably missed it, I chose that name because I have an interest in neurology. And if I could change my name to neurology without losing my history I would.

One more thing, Robert Kennedy Junior is still my favorite candidate to replace Obama and it is possible because I'm quite sure Obama made the wrong decision on Afghanistan. He should've left that place as soon as possible and if you don't believe me you should watch Bill Moyers this week. Obama has made the same mistake Lyndon Johnson made with Vietnam.

Are you kidding me? Did you hear what the man had to say? Did you listen carefully? Why did they applaud spontaneously after he finished speaking? How about, as John McEnroe would say, '' you can't be serious!''

Did you ever hear Bush make a speech like that? Did you ever hear Bush, or any other president provide you with such historical context and factual information? Sure Obama came close when he delivered that keynote speech for John Kerry, when Kerry was nominated to lead the Democratic Party. You remember that one don't you? “There is not a white America and there is not a black America! There is the United States of America!” Obama came close but that was not, in my opinion, as good as Robert Kennedy Junior.

One other guy I like very much is Mario Cuomo, the former governor of the great state of New York. I remember when he said during that keynote speech of his, which David Brinkley said right after it was over that night on ABC news, “ I think it's the best I've ever heard.” I remember Mario Cuomo saying, “The United States is not a shining city on a hill but a tale of two cities; ” in reply to Ronald Reagan's speech. I remember Cuomo asking Reagan if he talked to the unemployed steel workers in Lackawanna, or if he talked to the single mother in Illinois trying to find a way to raise her child on her own and he gave several other examples to show Reagan didn't know what he was talking about.

But I digress; your comment about his grey matter doesn't mean he's not qualified or capable just because you say so. As far as I'm concerned as long as some nut doesn't blow his brains out, if he runs, he will win the Democratic nomination and he will become the next president and deservedly so. But he doesn't deserve to be president because he deserves better just like Al Gore. Gore didn't win and he ended up winning the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007, for what you said about global warming.

This is my guy. I would start a draft Robert Kennedy Junior movement. This speech was awesome. You have to listen to both parts because when he's finished they applaud.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.: 1

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.: 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cz6kG11Ek1w

Brain, there's what, 300 million people in this country and you come up with this guy? None of the Kennedy's is famous for having an abundance of "gray matter" you know.
Haven't we had enough of the Kennedys to satiate anyone?

Brain, if you're going to run someone don't you want to run someone who at least has a chance to win?
There's too many people in the country who don't like the Kennedys.
Hell, I'm FROM Boston, Mass and I don't like them! I'd NEVER vote for any of those scumbags.
Ok, lemme guess, your name "BRAIN", it's a joke right?

Wouldn't it be wonderful if Cheney ran. It would make the race exciting and we would have so much to talk about. Perhaps Sarah could be his running mate if he wins the nomination.

People say that Carter messed this whole thing up?

Well were where the Re-pub-li-cans after he supposedly messed things up?

Obama will be history three years from now.  It is clear he is not what people hoped for. The usual 8-year presidential turnover cycle will be replaced by 4-year cycle as a norm.

Aside from the normal biased opinions, to beat Obama come election time, if there is no catastrophic failure, who is it that the Republicans run to beat him? Huckabee? Palin? Who is a strong enough candidate to defeat a sitting President?
The political reality is that even if Obama's popularity has declined as of now, a pretty standard happening, who can defeat him? If the Republicans run Romney can he overcome his past as Governor of Mass.? Huckabee is a very likable guy but couldn't dominate a single primary in the past election, Palin is a trinwreck waiting to happen. Who has the "chops" to win and how does that candidate reconcile the conservative and moderate parts of the Republican party to win a general election let alone independents and the number of Democrats that it would take?

How about Henry Louis Gates for president? You know, the black Harvard professor who got arrested 'breaking in' to his own home?

Rush has stated repeatedly on his show that he is not interested. He doesn't want to take a huge cut in pay.

Unless there is another major disaster economically Obama will be president until 2016, maybe even if there is one.
