The bullshit is that this is even an issue:

"Indeed, here’s the paragraph from Rasmussen’s article that Fox was referring to with the graphic:

Fifty-nine percent (59%) of Americans say it’s at least somewhat likely that some scientists have falsified research data to support their own theories and beliefs about global warming. Thirty-five percent (35%) say it’s Very Likely. Just 26% say it’s not very or not at all likely that some scientists falsified data.

While Petterson maintains that Fox & Friends didn’t err in displaying the information from Rasmussen, she acknowledges that the presentation wasn't perfect. “The mistake I do see is we could have been a little clearer here,” she said."

So the graphic is taken exactly from what Rasmussen wrote, and doesnt misrepresent anything.

So Fox isn't really to blame.  They just parroted the exact same errors Rasmussen published.

Not to worry though, I went to OfficeMax and bought a calculator for $4.95 that I've donated to Fox to help them avoid these problems in the future.

That's even more true for Fox; they've been shedding viewers left and right. Except for extreme right (CNN and MSNBC have also lost some viewers).

Fact check (ie again you dont know wtf youre talking about)

Your numbers don't surprise me, actually. The big losses happened before 2009 - in 2006, Fox lost as much as 20% in a single quarter. Unlike 2009, the other channels gained (in 2009, the big losses in 2009 were to the Web).

CNBC is not really of interest anyway; it's a financial news channel.

I don't have their advertiser numbers, but I expect that Fox has far fewer and/or cheaper commercials than the other channels.

Then you better change your expectations:

Interesting numbers. Come to think about it... I overlooked an important factor: in 2007 and 2008, campaign advertising would indeed boost Fox's numbers more than the other channel's numbers. In non-campaign years, CNN/HN is doing much better (and of course before 2004 or so, Fox was just starting out, so the numbers aren't comparable yet).

The evidence for global warming is overwhelming and you don't know your ass from a hole in the ground!

Only if you listen to the scientists who fixed their result by ignoring what didn't fit in line with their ideas. If, however, you buy into their bullshit, I'd double check your own ass, because you're clearly confused.

I just did a quick little fact check for myself.  That there appears to be trouble with polar ice and other climate concerns, I can't see where warming is really happening.  The average temperatures for Minneapolis appear to be quite consistant over the past 118 years.  http://climate.umn.edu/text/historical/mspavetemp.txt

On the other hand there appears to be more weather extremes in more recent years. http://home.att.net/~minn_climo/

I'm not going to stop doing what I can to make a smaller carbon footprint.  I'd rather try to protect my planet the best I can.  I'd rather believe the earth is in trouble and be wrong than to believe it isn't and be wrong.

I know you are beyond embarassment, but just to point out how worthless you are, "Doesnt surprise me"...ORLY then why did you state so emphatically what was dead wrong?

Big losses in 2006? They have grown in viewership year over year except for spikes due to elections. The numbers are there...you dont grow advertising revenues over 10% losing 20% of your audience in a single quarter. I wont waste my time finding the ratings, Ive wasted enough exposing you for the troll you are.

And if the cost of being wrong is an unnecessary reduction in your purchasing power/lifestyle of 20%? Thats pretty expensive insurance.

mnottertail -> RE: Fox News anchors dumbing down for their audience (12/12/2009 7:30:31 AM)

And if your wrong and the loss of your purchasing power/lifestyle is 100%?

SL4V3M4YB3 -> RE: Fox News anchors dumbing down for their audience (12/12/2009 8:00:13 AM)

I'm guessing he is hoping he'll die before any major changes come about.

Sadly the nations affected first will be some of the poorest around the world that had nothing to do with the situation.

Proof god doesn't exist for some but if the afterlife is judged by your carbon neutrality and that lasts an eternity then perhaps this is our biggest test.

This model actually makes sense to me because if you live in a poor nation you have had an inherently hard life already and so getting into this wonderful afterlife should be easier than say if you had a relatively luxurious life that involved inherently making the lives of other people hard. So thus this carbon score would be a good measure of if you get to enter.

People they fail to plan long term.[:D]

mnottertail -> RE: Fox News anchors dumbing down for their audience (12/12/2009 8:05:37 AM)

But the notion of Fox News anchors dumbing down has me a little flummoxed.

How does anyone anywhere discern that they've dumbed down? Where is there to go down from imbicilic?

SL4V3M4YB3 -> RE: Fox News anchors dumbing down for their audience (12/12/2009 8:14:32 AM)

I actually quite like Sheppard Smith I have to confess.

I've also noticed they employ Dracula which is much 'kool'.

That is a lie Ron, and I'm sure you know it. What Rush said is that he hoped Obama failed, especially in implementing his harmful radical ideology.

mnottertail -> RE: Fox News anchors dumbing down for their audience (12/12/2009 8:54:35 AM)

Sanity,

I didn't say it, the caption did, now your picture is equally as incoherent.

Are we going to fight about what constitutes honest and media neutral parody now?

LOL.

Ron

You posted it, but you're disowning it now?

Fair enough.

Sanity -> RE: Fox News anchors dumbing down for their audience (12/12/2009 8:58:51 AM)

And I didn't write that you said it, either. I suppose I should point that out...
