Even with my fuck-buddies, there had to be more than just the sex because frankly, my dildo doesn't give a shit if I shaved my legs or not.

In my experience, most men worth fucking don't care if you shaved your legs or not either.

It's interesting to me that i'm backwards. (as usual) "Most women" get the "meaningless sex" out of the way when they're young. i was in a commited relationship at 16. So, now i've been told i'm sewing wild oats that i never did before. Makes me wonder if this will be a phase and if so how long will i like this empty physical stuff?

Totally curious, librarysub (great pic!)--  does it *feel* empty?  or merely full of something different?

I'm not terribly good with casual sex myself but have had instances if not full-blown phases where it was an excellent thing.  Emptiness, on the other hand, I run the hell away from wherever it is found.

I can and have had sex without love, it was fun, but I prefer to have the love too.

I know that don't but I don't understand why most women can't/won't separate love and sex. They are two different things and I have found only the exceptional few women able to separate the two.

I would be interested in any feedback on this subject, particularly interested in any feedback from the women (Domme, sub or slave).

In spite of what people have called the sexual awakening, sexual revolution or whatever term you wish to use. I happen to believe the the vast majority still believe in " making love" as opposed to "having sex" If all they want is sex, 4.99 and a couple of batteries will give them the release they need and they don't have to worry about being respected in the morning, ED or getting any nasty unwanted "presents"

That seems to simultaneously prize and diminish the sexual act. On the one hand, you want it to involve love, on the other hand sex is just having an orgasm?

but if we stay afther sex.....soft skin is nicer then unshaved legs :P

ranja -> RE: Sex vs Love (12/13/2009 6:02:22 AM)

if i have to choose i think love feels better than sex... maybe because love tends to last longer and i feel it sort of deeper.

but i like sex without love just about as much as sex with love ...
and love without sex does get a bit boring after a while...

in my experience; as soon as a man thinks he loves me, then he does not want me to have sex with any other men any more... which i think is rather a pity...

and i hardly ever shave and it has never put any real time guy off, quite the contrary,
but here it seems lots of people have a hair phobia

I had a GF with hairy armpits and legs a few years ago. I must admit, there was something incredibly sexy about her, yet I would have preferred that she shaved from time to time simply for the change of pace. Hair did nothing to change her, or my attraction to her one way or another. (It's a petty reason to determine a relationship on imo).......

oh yes, i like change... same with my Husband... sometimes He grows a beard too

Perhaps because for most females, orgasm is more emotionally based than physically based? Women come a lot better when they have some emotional investment, and has been mentioned, many men do as well.

That you are 60 years old and don't know this is (searches for the least inflammable word I can find)...regretable.

If your dominant is sadistic, get them to help you wax. That can be fun for both of you (assuming you are a masochistic sub)!

librarysub -> RE: Sex vs Love (12/13/2009 4:41:58 PM)

@sravaka. i think it's like comparing fast food to a steak and potatoes. If you can't have the steak anymore, the fast food can take care of the hunger. Not that i'd turn down a steak, but i'm not going to hold my breathe for one. (damn mixed meatphors)

MsMillgrove -> RE: Sex vs Love (12/14/2009 8:00:58 AM)

In the old days when having sex with a stranger was not a dangerous risk activity from standpoint of numerous STD and HIV--I found no problem seperating sex from love and enjoying both versions of intimacy. There was such a thrill of discovery in finding out what another person looked like naked, how they responded, what their style involved. Everyone's so unique in their sexual expression... Those adventures in sex without love... mm I love back on them fondly.

Today, I couldn't do it, can't do it. I wonder if that change from relative safety in loveless sex to...the riskiness of it today makes women less willing to experiment? No idea. I knew women friends who had a lot of non-love sex but they seemed to be looking for something else--different motive than I had.
I was not interested especially in the person as a future love interest--more curious about them as sexual beings than wishing to involve with a whole person on a long term basis. When both people are mutually interested in the basic fucking aspects--well I found it a glorious adventure, like taking a trip to a foreign country.

Kyoki -> RE: Sex vs Love (12/14/2009 9:22:26 AM)

I'm noticing a lot of people associate sex with love in here, or know people who do.

Is it really so uncommon for someone to be able to sleep with someone and not be enamored by them? I have no issue with it.

If you would go back and look again...You would see that practically everyone said...they COULD and CHOSE not to.   BIG,  HUGE difference.
