As the economy plummeted under Bush, from the kitelike economy of Clinton? So, if Obamas poll numbers are plummeting then the economy is actually only slightly worse than the day Bush left office (and can certainly still be attributed to him) if we are on the same logarithmic scale.

OK. So long as you want to have your cake and eat it too.

May want to take another look at that assumption of yours, sanity. Again, your WAY off base, as usual.

In case you cant figure out where to look, click on the comparison tab. Puts them ALL into perspective with each other.

There is spending money wisely, and there is throwing it away. Our new war president does both, but he's especially good at flushing massive quantities of it down the toilet while promising that balanced budgets are always just right around the next bend in the road.

No, he has said repeatedly that balancing the budget is many years down the road.

Do I need to pull up the links to disprove your latest exaggerated misstatement?

mnottertail -> RE: The 90 Accomplishments of President Obama (12/11/2009 7:09:14 AM)

OH, MY Fucking GAWD. Obama is higher or equal to Reagan in head-to-head comparison!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL

He started out higher than a kite, but he's lower now than any other president has ever been at this point in their term.

Plummeting.

And you certainly can't argue with poll numbers, they are always completely accurate.

McCain Now Winning Majority of Independents

Majority of independents now prefer him over Obama, 52% to 37%

PRINCETON, NJ -- John McCain's 6 percentage-point bounce in voter support spanning the Republican National Convention is largely explained by political independents shifting to him in fairly big numbers, from 40% pre-convention to 52% post-convention in Gallup Poll Daily tracking.

By contrast, Democrats' support for McCain rose 5 percentage points over the GOP convention period, from 9% to 14%, while Republicans' already-high support stayed about the same.

You deny that his promises to cut the deficit in half in his first term don't amount to promises of working hard to attain balanced budgets at a relatively fast pace?

I don't have time at this moment but later on today I'll see if I can make time to go through some of Baracks's teleprompter's old campaign speeches for you and pin down what he said on the campaign trail about how conservative he is on budgetary matters, but honestly I feel vindicated by your own source already.

Where has he promised a balanced budget???? did I miss something??
Can you give me a link? because everything I have seen has said he knew that a balanced budget wasnt possible for along time, in 2007 and 2009, .... and that the deficit would be cut by 2013... you have anything else to offer besides your word?

WASHINGTON — Now that his $787 billion stimulus bill is law, President Obama plans to spend this week promoting a budget plan designed to cut the federal deficit in half by the end of his first term.
http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2009-02-22-obamaecon_N.htm
And
President Obama does not intend to balance the budget during his term(s) but does plan to lower the deficit to $533 billion by the year 2013.

I find it strange that theres no mention of Katrina, I think that deserves a mention as an expensive catastrophe doesnt it? In lives destroyed and homes lost most certainly, but we are just talking financially??  Maybe Obama should have cleared that up too before he gets down to the hard stuff.

FOXNews.com - President Obama's job approval rating has fallen to 47 percent in the latest Gallup poll, the lowest ever recorded for any president at this point in his term.

Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford and even Richard Nixon all had higher approval ratings 10-and-a-half months into their presidencies. Obama's immediate predecessor, President George W. Bush, had an approval rating of 86 percent, or 39 points higher than Obama at this stage. Bush's support came shortly after he launched the war in Afghanistan in response to the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said he doesn't "put a lot of stock" in the survey by Gallup, which has conducted presidential approval polls since 1938, longer than any other organization.

"If I was a heart patient and Gallup was my EKG, I'd visit my doctor," Gibbs said in response to questions from Fox. "I'm sure a six-year-old with a Crayon could do something not unlike that. I don't put a lot of stake in, never have, in the EKG that is daily Gallup trend. I don't pay a lot of attention to the meaninglessness of it."

Gallup Editor-in-Chief Frank Newport responded: "Gibbs said that if Gallup were his EKG, he would visit his doctor. Well, I think the doctor might ask him what's going on in his life that would cause his EKG to be fluctuating so much. There is, in fact, a lot going on at the moment -- the health care bill, the jobs summit, the Copenhagen climate conference and Afghanistan."

I think we could have a list of 900 achievements on that list and those who are so deep into total Obama hatred would find a way to deny or spin every one of them to show that Obama hasn't done a single good thing since he's in office. I just am not sure if it's a delusion or a tactic.
Yeah Spinner, just what I was thinking....imagine flipping the script a little...and inserting the name Bush where Obama appears...do you think some of these responses would be tweaked a bit.....?

cuckoldmepls -> RE: The 90 Accomplishments of President Obama (12/11/2009 7:47:20 AM)

Don't forget, his number 1 accomplishment is that he is now officially a mass murderer since one of the first things he did was reverse the policy of not funding overseas abortions.

If you voted for him, you are now guilty as well.

He also sent a message to the rest of the world, that America will surrender and let Islam take over the world if you make it difficult enough for us. This guy is another Jimmy Carter, and we all saw what happens when Islamic extremist detect weakness. Even Ronald Reagan made the mistake of withdrawing from Lebanon when the going gets tough. Terrorism is like a cancer. You can't just hope it will go away. You have to kill it, and that means hunting down every last terrorist on this planet, while we still have it under control. I don't think people understand that without us fighting for freedom for the past 65 years, and a civilized society where terrorism is an unusual event, the whole damn planet would have been a prison planet by now ruled by wannabe Hitlers.

He also plans on taking away our guns even if it means signing international treaties that supposedly will circumvent the 2nd amendment. http://babelishere.webs.com/guncontrol.html

"When the government creates jobs with more spending, they have to take more and more of your paycheck in taxes or pass the debt on to our children which means they are giving billions in interest payments to wealthy people here and abroad and to other countries, not to mention still owing the debt.

When private industry creates jobs, you actually receive a product or a service when they take your money. Now which would you rather have?"

So, if one started a thread on the 1 accomplishment of Bush (which seems to be overreaching quite a little to say he accomplished anything)....they would get a 'mission accomplished' which it wasn't so .....it would be over in only a post or two, but here there is fodder for pages and pages of yes he did no he didnt.
