I have 3 basic levels of acceptance. 1) I like at least the idea of participating in the kink myself. Needs no elaboration. 2) It's not my kink, but I see no harm in it if other people like it. A recent example of this was when I made the online acquaintence of a lovely young woman who was into guys, girls, and... her dog. My initial gut reaction was "Ewwwwww!" But, after thinking about it, so what if she likes being humped in the most literal doggy-style? Fido is undeniably consenting with great enthusiasm, nobody gets hurt, and it's probably vastly safer than having unprotected sex with a human. So, while I haven't the tiniest bit of interest in anything of the sort, I'm totally fine with them doing what they enjoy. I have no idea about whether it's illegal in her jurisdiction, but I do approve of vibrators, and those are illegal in Alabama. Apologies to the admins for touching on a taboo topic, I hope that you will take no offense when it's only an illustrative example. 3) It's not my kink, and I think it's unsafe, not very sane, or not truly consensual. Lack of competent consent I find totally intolerable. I cannot accept a practice which has a reasonable chance of causing debility or death, even if it's completely nonviolent. Bukkake, for example. I fully understand how some women might enjoy doing that, but think that the STD risk is WAY too high. I try to keep the "rejected kink" category limited to things which I object to based on logic alone. I may verbalize my objections to this category of practice, or I may not. Depends on how strong my feelings are, and whether or not I think anyone will give a shit about my arguments against. No point in wasting my breath on someone who has already made up their mind, and won't hear a word to the contrary. I think that I'm open minded, but some people will disagree.
