yall trip me sometimes..... [;)][;)][;)][;)]

Rayne58 -> RE: Defining yourself (3/17/2006 3:12:50 PM)

I'm a submissive, I'm also bisexual and somewhat of a masochist [:)] Not into really heavy pain, but spanking, cropping, flogging, pegs/clamps.....oops maybe I'm more of a masochist than I thought![;)]

We don't live the D/s role all the time, but the dynamic is certainly there. I was once asked by a Dom friend if I would do anything Master asked. I said yes of course (within reason!) and he said that in his definition I would be a slave. I don't consider myself a slave - for one thing I haven't given up all control of my life. I have my own bank accounts and can do what I like with the money, I choose my own clothing although Master will suggest something if we are going somewhere special. Safe words are still in place although they have not been used in awhile.

Master has always called Himself Master, not Dom or Top. It's just His personal preference [:)]

Slipstreme -> RE: Defining yourself (3/17/2006 3:18:53 PM)

If I must define myself, thus far I seem to be a Dominant sadomasochist who is currently a bit more a masochist than a sadist.

Submissive. In the past, I have had others who argued that with me, saying I was more slave...but I tend to disagree with them...I think too much. [8D]

And that's fine misty, W/we like the way you think. I don't know many who really do want a doormat. I consider it a fine trait, no matter what you identify as, to have a thought process capable of formulating original ideas. This to me has little to do with submission, being a slave, a top, a bottom, a Dominant or anything else, it is necessary to create that individualism that sets you apart from everyone else.

What do you call yourself in this lifestyle, (Master, Mistress, submissive, slave, switch, etc…), and why? Define your role and if possible, tell why or how you came to this definition.

Knight's bitch *eg* or Knight's angel depending on the mood you catch me in, but I think I prefer the first one.

Bisexual, slave, masochist (with a developing sadistic streak)

Bisexual - I am sexually attracted to both men and women…

Slave – I am in an M/s relationship and he has authority over whatever he chooses in my life

Masochist – I am sexually aroused from intense sensations that most would consider painful and I am discovering a sadistic streak… nothing that I think would make me a top, but enough to cause you pain when my Lord tells me to and enjoy it!

I usually call myself denika *ss* I am a masochistic/bottom/submissive/slightly goth/bisexua/l wife.. Phew.... that's a long list *s*

My role is multifaceted to the situation. To my husband I am his partner, his best friend, sometimes even the voice of reason. In my marriage our main role is to be supportive of each other, it's a 50/50 deal that is why we have a hard time defining roles in terms of the lifestyle. My husband is not really Dom and he's not sub. He's kinky *g*

My role with Knight is where I explore and embrace my masochistic desires as well as further our friendship. There are just to many terms and titles to limit it to a paragraph. .
We are human, always a good start *s*.

Why do I define myself this way? They are not so much titles as definitions of my personality, a small part of who I am as a person. We all have tag lines that describe who or what we are: short/tall/thin/heavy/christian/pagan/doctor/lawyer. As long as we don't limit ourselves to those descriptors there is room to grow and explore.

MyCaptainsPet -> RE: Defining yourself (3/17/2006 4:45:48 PM)

i am an Emotional Submissive.

i am a Optimistic Pessimist (positive something will go wrong)

i am a mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Most of all, i define myself as "ME"

Cloudz -> RE: Defining yourself (3/17/2006 5:16:26 PM)

Who am I? I spent some time considering this but "I" cannot be boxed in by a label. I know the OP may not have meant for us to get so existential - but some things cannot be helped. LOL, especially in this crowd <grin>.

To quote Ms. Morrisette;

I don't envy you
I'm a little bit of everything
all rolled into one

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover
I'm a child, I'm a mother
I'm a sinner, I'm a saint
I do not feel ashamed
I'm your hell, I'm your dream
I'm nothing in between
You know you wouldn't want it any other way

So take me as I am
This may mean you'll have to be a stronger man
Rest assured that when I start to make you nervous
and I'm going to extremes
tomorrow I will change
and today won't mean a thing

Just when you think you've got me figured out
the season's already changing
I think it's cool you do what you do
and don't try to save me

I'm a bitch, I'm a tease
I'm a goddess on my knees
when you hurt, when you suffer
I'm your angel undercover
I've been numbed, I'm revived
can't say I'm not alive
You know I wouldn't want it any other way

Merritt27 -> RE: Defining yourself (3/17/2006 6:20:32 PM)

By the definition of others i am an insatiable bisexual slave with just the teeniest bit of a masochist in her. It is sometimes easier to refer to myself in these terms when speaking with others. But, when it is just Daddy and i .... i am simply His.

windy135 -> RE: Defining yourself (3/17/2006 6:48:22 PM)

I am a nerdy, book worm, submissive, openminded, playful unnatural top, cocky, curious, sarcasstic, prude, slut, county/city girl.

*definition custom to change with out notice :)

TemptingNviceSub -> RE: Defining yourself (3/17/2006 7:01:10 PM)

How does one define theirselves......First off I would like to say that in my own opinion,possibly not others I am a hetero/female submissive..daughter,mother,sister,nurse,to some I have been defined as mouthy,sarcastic,funny,clumsy,occasional cynic,stubborn,loving,giving ad infinitum....too many layers to be defined,and too many opinions to be taken into consideration for this to be an easy task.....in short i am me......be well.Tempting

IronBear -> RE: Defining yourself (3/17/2006 7:18:19 PM)

Other than I am a member of the human race (most of the time) and am male, no one leble fits me... I believ I am a simple man with many facits, some oure light and some so dark they would make your soul shrink in horror. To some of my family I am Nobility, Arrostocrat, to others Soldier (one even mistakenly labled me as a war hero till I broke his jaw for insulting those who were my war heros). To some I am a clown to others a sage.. I've been called smart, intelligent and even wise.. These are just perspectives as seen by others.. For me I have no such pretentions.. I know who I am and I stay true to me... What am I? I am Iron Bear and that is all any need to know.....

Grabs a tissue for the tears..... thank you Cloudz..... I do believe you know me more than I thought I knew myself here..... permission to print that off for framing?

i am many things...

i am a woman and proud to be one. i am a slave to the person who will once more bring it out in me, i am a submissive but not to everyone. i am me.

Now to define my role....i am not living a role, i am just who i am, nothing more and certainly nothing less. my submission i found at the feet of a strong Man who is sadly missed every minute of every day.

ownedgirlie -> RE: Defining yourself (3/17/2006 11:48:07 PM)

Funny i just had to write an essay about who i am, but it is much too long and too personal to post here. i am slave, i am strong, i am hope, i am vulnerable, i am daughter, sister, auntie and friend. i am many things, but in all the things i am, i reside on the foundation my Master has provided.

As for those who say they are not slave because they think too much. Do you believe slaves do not think much? i think so much my head hurts!! The beauty i experience is taking all of those thoughts, logic, feelings, compassion, and ultimately surrendering them to He who owns me. This should not be confused with not thinking. You might be surprised at the musings, questions and alternate points of view i share with my Master. :)

i am predominantly submissive - as i enjoy a relatively "equal" style of relating with my Master. However, when He wishes, i am definitely His slave.

NeedToUseYou -> RE: Defining yourself (3/18/2006 12:01:20 AM)

I'm a pervert that likes control in regards to sex.
I like women that like being my personal slut but not the town slut.
I'm business oriented in daily life, and that is the central focus of my activities, and short term goals and plans.
I'm an ass sometimes, and sometimes very nice.
I've enjoyed hurting people and enjoyed helping people.
I've been called very smart and stupid depending on the source.
I absolutely don't care what people think, that I don't know and respect.
I believe the general consensus, is wrong as much as it is right.
I dislike people sucking up, unless it involves actual sucking. HEHE
I know that most people are not what they say they are.

From a BDSM perspective that would make me a dominant.

LATEXBABY64 -> RE: Defining yourself (3/18/2006 12:01:39 AM)

there is such a wide range of flavors in bdsm so i guess this is more about your growth as a person
you can be anything and everything. we all have basic identiy fules master sub slave domme switch. Poly Bi fetish so on and so on but in bdsm there is the other factor called levels of those identiies i look inward for my personel growth you see each of us brings things to the table with its good or bad its all about balance into our selves whatiwould DEFINING IS OUR REFLECTION of how we see our selves not how others see us stand in mirror look into your eyes ask these things
what have i done
what am i doing
where am i going

we judge not by what we say but in the things we do

look into your self you will always find truth you seek to refine and define you
