just a random question. to those who have experienced a caning, did you like or dislike it and why?

I hate caning.....hate it. Well, let me re-phrase. If it's on my breasts or back, not so bad. If He canes my bum, then I hate it. I like pain, just not that pain. I think that's why He uses it if I need to be punished. 5 quick strokes of that and I'm the best little sub in the world

There is being a dilettante about BDSM, and there is being serious. Caning is serious. If you want to be a true aficionado, caning is something you must experience, either giving or receiving. But be forewarned: the bruises last for weeks, and sitting down will hurt for days.

Caning.. an interesting thing.. while i always thought i would be afriad of the cane.. i found that there are two types of caning... the Cold caning where you bend over and strokes are administered .. makes me feel like throwing up/fainting/have an orgasim... and then my body recoils as my brain is saying HEY! THAT HURTS RUN!!!! and i brace for more of the pain.it just HURTS... and then ...........there is the Art of Sensual Caning... mmmmmmmmmm's softly.. i profoundly hate the cane - i hate that hard bruising that develops afterwards - i just hate it. im totally opposite to you elizabeth - breasts and back and i can feel this anger well up in me. i hate it even more there than on my bum! that and the crop, two of the most loathed implements in my book. oddly enough i like stingy - well, i like to struggle to stingy because its more of a struggle but not the cane - its more like a weapon to me and i think theres a sort of punitive undertone to it that just feels horrible to me.

I love it on the bottom of my feet. It's like a really intense foot massage. Not painful at all. No interest in pain in general and I hate sting. BTW there is no relationship between s & m and d/s no matter what anyone else says except that there are many people who do both. There are plenty of tops who aren't interested in domming and vice versa.

I actually dislike the sensation from a caning. Because even warmed up it hurts like a [deleted][expurgated][rude]. What I like about it is the restraint and the feeling of knowing I am submitting totally. If you give me a choice of sensation play and let me pick, I will select a soft, heavy mop leather flogger every time.

i like a good caneing when i have been warmed up but a cold caneing would be more abrupt than im used to. my Mistress is a sadist and im her masso sub so W/we are well matched. it is about the only thing that still leaves bruises on me now

I've ranked caning as something which is okay as part of a lineup of other impact activities being used. I must enjoy a variety of implements used along with switching up betwen the sting and the thud sensations. Chances are if a cane was solely used during play, I'd quickly begin to lose the interest and enjoyment of the play session. Which rather defeats the purpose as the playing should be an enjoyable session for the top and the bottom.

smile Canes don't have to leave marks, it is all in how hard you use them.... but they can leave deep marks that will last longer than other things. For those who haven't experienced a sensual caning, you really should try it. It is dramatically different than 'just caning'. I've convinced more than one boy that he really does like a cane even when he didn't previously think he did. It is like anything, the harder you swing, the more it's gonna hurt. The kiss of the cane is different, of course. My favorite thing though is to have a boy cut his own switch and bring it to me. I mention this because it is similar to a cane in many respects, except for flexible and 'whippy' or 'stingy' I think. Tends not to leave as deep of marks either.

I agree with Elizabeth here.. I don't know why it is perfectly OK on my breasts and absolutely unbearable on my bum. It is almost like the hit goes all the way through my body.
