Thanks for the replies, I think whether a work position depends on whether one is doing exactly what they want to be doing, and how one looks at that position. I am now doing more or less what I want to be doing, I respond to professors and customers, so, yes, servient to them, but in my metalwork, I am sort of a master at it, I get others not as skilled asking me how to do something or solve a problem, including professors, as I have been described as having a particular mind, where I can picture a problem as it is described and there work it out in my mind, I picture everything, words I can't see, mathematical equations I cannot see, but objects I can, in all dimensions. I am also master to a customer, who asks can something be made, they rely on my design and making skills to realise an idea into a tangible form. I was always in my past employment, very customer service orientated, even at the expense of my employer, when someone says customers are our greatest asset, and customers come first, I read that literally and push it to the max, the result being, I massively increased a past employers takings, but failed to lie on the companies behalf when the employer fucked up, as lying to customers, is not what I call good service.
