I do understand. I can see where you don't want to *personally* take credit, but you still want to give credit to others. If so many people are praising you, perhaps you did something worthy of praise? Even if "any mother would have done the same".

But you know as well as I do there are some very selfish and/or confused moms out there. You took the time, you learned about what had happened to him, and when everyone told you "no, he can't", you said "yes he can." and set out to prove it.

Heros are often quiet, unassuming people leading very normal lives.

You have been a hero to your son. That is laudable. And you should be VERY proud.
