I think there's a difference between hating a woman and hating women. And to clarify I just wrote that for the rhetorical parallel, I don't hate Aynne. But anyway my point is that misogyny isn't hating one or the other woman, or getting into an argument with a woman, because "a woman" doesn't represent "women" to me. Misogyny to me at least is believing women as a gender are inferior, loathesome, flawed, or any other strongly negative characterization. I think someone can hate most women they know without being a misogynist, so long as that hate is based on the women's personalities and not their gender. Same as hating a man isn't misandry. Generally speaking, if the sentence starts like "she is" rather than "women are" it's not going to be misogynistic.

As a side note, I was pondering about this today as I was doing some woodwork (fnar fnar, double-entendre alert!): it has to be terribly tough to lust after something one despises, which is, surely, the destiny of the average Jo Blogg heterosexual misogynist. It's got to be seriously sucky for them: no wonder they're so fucking angry and aggravated [&o]. My heart bleeds for them.
