UrMyboi -> Any REAL sub men on here? (12/30/2009 10:18:40 AM)

I get tons of men who read my profile and immediately want to submit to me.. ok. I know we all get thoses.

The one's I talk to suddenly have excuses like they are going on a trip, then their profile disappears. Or too busy to really serve, Why are you on here then? Or, suddenly I am geographically undesirable. Perhaps it's me, but I really do think a lot of these so called "subs" are full of shit and just playing around on this site. Maybe they like the idea, but when it looks like it could really happen, they run.

AquaticSub -> RE: Any REAL sub men on here? (12/30/2009 10:45:08 AM)

The problem is that this website is populated by people, not fakes. So, as with all people, there are those who get scared, those who realize they aren't interested/not compatible and would rather hide than admit it, those whose real lives have suddenly interfered and caused them to "poof", those who were never serious to start with and then those that are interested and are compatible. And then in that fraction, there are those whose lives and location with work with yours and those that won't.

Patience is the key. The people you are talking to are real people, with many factors at play in their lives that you aren't privy to. And if their lives are too busy for you, that doesn't mean they are too busy for someone else. Just keep going on till you find the right one for you.

You are right. Thanks.. I was told when I joined this site that many of the men are not real. Which is how it feels, but I know you are right.

Thanks again.

Wow, Aqua.  You've never been a doof, but lately it seems as though you were walking down the street one day and got hit in the head with a brick full of awesome.

Nice post.

SomethingCatchy -> RE: Any REAL sub men on here? (12/30/2009 11:05:05 AM)

If you live in San Fran, why not just get involved in one of the many groups local to you? If you're really adamant about finding someone online, I'm sure you could set up a network through the groups in your area and meet lots of people that you wouldn't be able to meet because of how many people are so involved there.

Rule -> RE: Any REAL sub men on here? (12/30/2009 11:11:29 AM)

There are various true submissive men that post in the forums.

Good luck in your search.

It's the wedding ring. It gives me a +10 to intelligence. That or it's getting rid of the -50 to sanity that was wedding planning... [:D]

Hey Miss T, REAL sub men do write you, but you never open their emails..lol.

LadyPact -> RE: Any REAL sub men on here? (12/30/2009 12:23:50 PM)

Aqua is right in what she's said here.  There's also another factor at play in some of this.

There isn't really a category for folks who just plain like topping, or bottoming, or strictly bedroom submission.  Basically, if they aren't a Dominant and don't see themselves as a switch, they get to check the box that says either submissive or slave.  Granted, they have the option of going into more detail in the body of text in their profile, but a lot of folks who haven't experienced a lot of this yet really don't know that explanation for themselves.  They're learning all these new terms like 24/7, submission, service, masochist, etc and they just don't have the opportunity to know how they apply yet.  Kind of a paradox because they don't know yet and they don't know because they haven't tried yet.

At that point, it's really still all just a fantasy and not everyone knows how to follow through or can be afraid of the reality.  It can be scary and that has a lot to do with some who just plain change their mind.  The computer makes a nice safety net.

You can skip all of that by getting out to the BDSM events that are in your area.  At least when you go to a munch, you already know that everybody else there is willing to show up.

Yeah; what was it that Cali said a couple of months ago when some guy from San Francisco was in one of the forums asking a similar question? "You're in San Franfuckingcisco - open your window and shout!" A little blunt, but a point well-made.

Seriously, I've spent enough time in the Bay Area over the last year to know that it's Kink City. There's a huge scene there. It's one of the top 4 or 5 cities in the country for finding people, and one of the friendliest cities in the country period. I've seen your profile, and you come across as a very nice, sincere, thoughtful person with a lot going for her. You should be able to make a lot of connections at some of your local munches, and it will do at least two things for you - restore your optimism, and give you a chance to face-to-face with real people with normal social skills, rather than the billions of total dweebs who haven't set foot out of their mothers' basements since christ was a kindergartner and whose only connection with the rest of their species is the internet. If you're relatively new to the scene, it will also help you develop some skills at sniffing out the bullshit profiles, too. The internet's all cool and stuff, but there ain't nothin' like the real thing, baby!

Highlandsub -> RE: Any REAL sub men on here? (12/30/2009 1:12:06 PM)

Just take your time, watch the boards here and soon enough you will get an idea of who is real and who is fake. I read your profile and it sounds great to me, honest about what your looking for, and about your experience you clearly explain your experience etc. It just takes time. You think you have it rough, try getting all involved with several emails over several days and then......whammo......"you will have to tribute me to go further!!!!" but that is another topic. Just take time, get involved in the local scene and Im sure you will find someone. Good luck!!!!

All great ideas from everyone. Yes I am lucky to live so near to SF. I have contacted a local ladies tea society, and am looking into munches in my area. I really am usually more optimistic...

Or, you can simply hop on down to the local BigLots and purchase one of me.

Should be at least 50% off at this point in the ol' shoppin seasonola.

Soak, spread the seed (minds out of the gutter) and place on the window sill.

Then grab me by the new growth and fling me against the wall whenever that Dominant urge hits.

Guys like that give real sub males a bad name.  Time wasters and internet wankers are all they are.

earthycouple -> RE: Any REAL sub men on here? (12/30/2009 4:10:58 PM)

I must say I've met many people from CM, some ok, some horrible and one or two...simply amazing. There are definately real subs and slaves to be found, but digging the gems out of the ashes isn't always easy. There is no good answer beyond patience and tolerance.

Much luck

amaidiamond -> RE: Any REAL sub men on here? (12/31/2009 8:26:19 AM)

There are some real people on here, I've met quite a few rl both Dom/mes and subs/slaves :) It's like anything rl or internet, some are genuine some are not, some want play, some commitment -

subinchico -> RE: Any REAL sub men on here? (12/31/2009 10:38:53 AM)

Srutinize hard:
1. if more than 50 miles away
2. If it sounds to good to be true
3. If you havn't had multiple live conversations.  Try to meet for a cocktail first.

We,  I"m sub .  We get terrified (some of us) when the actual meeting date is accepted by you the superior one.
