Personally, I don't like Rush since I despise all partisan politicians who go along with their party's agenda whether it helps America or not such as the NAU, Free Trade Agreements, WTO, Illegal Immigration, and outsourcing. I also despise American voters who automatically vote along party lines. However, the idea that Rush was there looking for proof of Obama's natural born citizenship is a legitimate one. Not that he may have been looking for proof since it's highly unlikely that any Hawaiian official would jeopardize their job, but the very question of obama's legitimacy is still in question. This site that I shamelessly promote according to another poster has another good article entitled "The Mystery Continues" about questions of his passport actually revealing the truth. http://babelishere.webs.com/awards.html By the way, although most people on this site are social liberals, that does not mean they support liberal out of control federal government who can't control their spending and ignore the Constitution. You also forget that this message board is not specifically for liberals or conservatives. That means, the 1st amendment rules.

I consider myself a moderate, neither rabidly liberal nor rabidly conservative. I have liberal views on some issues & conservative views on others. I used to listen to Rush for the entertainment factor. I enjoyed a lot of what he said. I did stop listening awhile back. Because I no longer was enjoying anything that he said. I try not to take in negative stuff. I do wish him well & hope that he finds a way to become & remain healthy.

As many times as Rush has made hateful, bigoted remarks concerning others, and his supporters have passed them off as "jokes," I don't see any reason at all that it's out of line for people to make jokes about his misfortune. After all, according to him and his followers, that's one of his favorite forms of humor.

Here's the deal. This is just like when Chris Henrey died. He was an asshole. He fell out of a fuckin' pick up truck while trying to attack his fiance. He was, "turning his life around".....right!. He did not deserve my sympathy. Rush is an asshole for either actualy believeing the shit he spews, or for inciting hatered and stupidity. I don't wish him dead, but I wouldn't shed a tear.
