WHO is actively monitoring the progress of the pandemic through frequent consultations with the WHO Regional Offices and member states and through monitoring of multiple sources of information.

Situation update:
The most active areas of pandemic influenza transmission currently are in parts of central, eastern and southeastern Europe, North Africa, and South Asia.

Nope, not millions, just 559 in the past week. ~shrugs~ Just a drop in the bucket.

So you accepted the deadly vaccine?

Said vaccine, has ingredients the can later be activated to cause health problems?

tazzygirl -> RE: Science Denial on the Rise (1/8/2010 5:32:05 AM)

activated? you do live a paranoid world

You read the legal inserts?

IE- mercury, formaldehyde, aluminum, squalene, etc

http://www.coat-of-arms.biz/reading-websites/medical-doctor-retracts-h1n1-vaccine-advice-after-reading-insert

there are a series of theads all with links.  Lets not get me started.

tazzygirl -> RE: Science Denial on the Rise (1/8/2010 5:49:30 AM)

Just out of curiosity.... how much of those ingredients do you think are available in the foods you eat and the water you drink?

Moonhead -> RE: Science Denial on the Rise (1/8/2010 6:00:11 AM)

I'm increasingly reminded of the early '50s when the Snopes trial results were only overturned and evolution let back into the public schools because teaching children fairy stories instead of something that resembled the scientific method had let the (evil, Godless) Russians to take the lead in the space race.

pahunk, if I had kids I'd rather have them slightly poisoned by a vaccine (they put formaldehyde in some brands of beer for heaven's sake) than crippled or killed by polio or a flu variation. Sorry.

Could not find the list of ingredients but even so, how are these "activated" later?

If I eat fish and it contains mercury, could some "agency" activate it later to make me do something reprehensible like voting Republican?

anyone who has noticed your rants about vaccines, realises that you don't have even a casual grasp of science Brain....

If you were to read the peer reviews on the squalene * vaccines you might acquire that casual grasp you claim others lack.

Vaccine "A" by Gary Matsumoto is on Amazon for less than $5

Thompson, the word activate indicates that something is dormant until a later time. you surely are not suggesting this is possible.

pahunkboy -> RE: Science Denial on the Rise (1/8/2010 7:09:00 AM)

of course it is possible.

Not necessarily on purpose or on command.

We all have cancer cells in us.  Some get activated some dont.

Cumulative effects of the adjutants  add up and at some point there is a tipping point.

Gary Null explains it well.

Dr Leon Horowicz also explains it well.

Jane Byrgermeister suing- as as Dr horwizc.   We shall see.  France is so disgusted they sold their stock to some other country.

In Toronto- only 200k get the shot.    Most do not want it.

I guess you don't eat fish then.

Is aluminum different from aluminium, if not what's wrong with aluminium?

Falcor64 -> RE: Science Denial on the Rise (1/8/2010 7:09:46 AM)

Sadly, I think science denial is on the rise. It's simply because the world is a complex place, and especially with 24-hr news channels and the Net, we have access to much more information about just HOW complex it is. For some people it's just too much and they choose to make themselves feel better by denying it instead of dealing with it. Ever note how self-serving the denial claims are? They say, "there's no global warming" which then gives a convenient excuse for them to keep driving their Hummer!

As far as the vaccine is concerned, ever hear of "relative risk?" There's a risk involved in anything you do. Even staying in bed carries risks (get fired from job, get fat for lack of exercise, get hit by meteorite strike, etc, etc). The key is balancing that risk against the risks of other things. H1N1 is pretty nasty especially if you're in one of the risk groups, so on balance any small risk from side effects looks good against the risk of getting the disease. Btw, ever look at the incidence data on those side effects? They are generally pretty durn small. Go to the library and read the Physician's Desk Reference (PDR) or hit a college library and look up the published research on a given drug or vaccine. The PDR is published yearly, and is. as it suggests, the doctor's guide to mediations.

If anybody needs help doing that research, email me. I'm an expert, with the academic degrees and bad eyes to prove it!  [image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m9.gif[/image]

Falcor64 -> RE: Science Denial on the Rise (1/8/2010 7:22:33 AM)

Indeed. Understanding the dynamics of balance could lead to all sorts of stuff, including better prostheses for those who've lost legs, or better therapy for people with movement disorders, or even better-functioning robots. Balance is tremendously complex- look at Esther Thelen's research, for example.

A lot of basic science research may seem trivial but in context is not. For example, Dr Thelen put 8-month-olds (upright) in shallow pools of water, which might seem strange, but her work (and others) changed the way that scientists look at motor development! Ultimately that understanding may well make for better therapies for rehabilitation, and it does help people better work with children.

Falcor

While this may sound trivial, I suspect the studies were to gain more information on how humans maintain their balence. Which, as it adds to our understanding of our bodies, could prove useful.

pahunkboy -> RE: Science Denial on the Rise (1/8/2010 7:39:25 AM)

Foods are not injected into the muscle.

Your eyes- ears and mouth stop 80% of toxins from your body.  Injections bypass that.

This really is a topic to explore- - do searches ask questions.

I wish I could undo 8 years of flu shots.

No more for me.

I only got into this 2 years ago. After some lady begged me to never take a flu shot.  I promised her I would think about it.
(study it)

The further I dug - the more I found sloppy science.

Our whole health model is to sell as many pills as possible at highest price.

So- there in lies the trouble.

Be that as it may- do some digging for yourself. You are worth it.   At least know the risks.

.....i'm choosing to see this line as an attempt to be humourously ironic, given the subject of the thread.
