the Scientologists and if you disagree with them you're a "non-believer!" I am a non-believer. I'd like to see your peer reviewed journal articles that speak to the contrary on global warming. I have seen one article that said that global warming wasn't occurring, supposedly written by some MIT professor in meteorology, however, he cited no references, the article was on a politically biased website, and the man's name couldn't be found listed among the faculty of MIT. That's the only article that I've seen that said that global warming wasn't happening. I have seen plenty of articles contrary to this, though. Most articles state that global warming, whilst may be due to natural events, such as Earth cycles and seasonal cycles, the effects are exacerbated by anthropogenic activity. There's a lot more going on than just the disruption of the carbon cycle. There is the disruption of the Nitrogen cycle. Furthermore, there are other pollutants released into the atmosphere through manufacturing processes that have even greater significant impacts than CO2. Here is a list of ozone depleting substances along with their global warming potential along with the atmospheric lifetime of each substance. C'mon Savage, I answered your questions. If you want to see links to peer reviewed articles you need go no further than this site, there must be a dozen threads at least about this subject in here. And as regards "MIT professors," back in 98-99' when I was living in N.H. I was watching WCVB- channel 5 News in Boston when they interviewed an MIT professor at MIT (which is actually in Cambridge, Mass) who the Clinton Admin. had listed as an academic who "supported" "global warming." He replied that not only did he *not give permission* for his name to be used on that list but that "global warming" was "junk science." So, the lies started early.
