Actually, the Suicide Girls tour occasionally.  Whether you consider them models or porn pin-up girls is open for debate, but some of them do travel.  She doesn't look like a Suicide Girl, though.  Come to think of it, a lot of "adult" models, like Dita VonTease, tour.  Maybe she's one of those.

"Stripper" seems like such an archaic word.  Perhaps we should now call them "unclothed gyrating erection specialists"?

Indeed. At the risk of stereotyping....the OP kind of reminds of the model-type that expects everyone to fawn all over them because they're an attractive model and is posting this because she isn't getting as much attention as she thinks she should get...

I started posting about two years ago and, in all that time, haven't had any type of serious issue with anyone. I would not say I was ever treated like shit, underwent a cyber hazing, etc. People claim this all the time and I just don't get it. I didn't do all those things I'm supposed to do to know the rules. I noted the quote carried over from the other thread from peppermint and am blown away that it was considered an attack, catty, snide, or anything else. It was actually stated in quite a diplomatic way with the intent to assist a new user in learning their way around. Sometimes it does take a little hand to master the navigation tools and such as well as protocol. I am not faulting anyone for making a couple minor mistakes. It is when people offer kindness and help and are rewarded with responses such as this OP that is truly bothersome.

OP, honestly, when I am very busy in my life, I walk away from the computer and handle my business. The computer is for free time and required work of running my life. We welcome you here provided you can curb the attitude and are able to take some time and learn the rules. If you misstep, someone will point it out. It doesn't mean anyone is being nasty. We prefer to help you out than have you receive love notes from the mods. These boards are open to everyone and you are certainly welcome to post with the current chip on your shoulder, but it isn't going to go very far in improving your situation. Either spare the time out of your busy life and get to know the place or come back to this in a less busy season of your life. Either way, the onus is on you to learn to function in the manner that is expected by fellow posters, the moderators, and the site administrators. Welcome to the boards and I would look forward to a new friend and lots of interesting discussions with you. I sincerely mean that. Whatever you decide, go to it with my best wishes!

She is, but there are only 2 ways to become a feature dancer like she is.  One is to do porn movies, the other is to model for men's magazines.  Dita started as a pin-up model and made a name for herself that way before segueing into burlesque. 
 

And she's every bit as beautiful in person as she is in her photos.  I have an autographed Polaroid of her laying across my lap from when she did a feature performance at the strip club where I worked.  Just sayin.

Well I did actually write 'pull the other one, it's got bells on it'.

It just seemed strange that someone claiming to be a model in whatever industry would come onto a site like this bitching about people treating new people like her like crap.

It just didn't add up or make any sense to me.

I mean, God help her if she ever gets a job in television.

No worries there Stella. I have spent the last 15 years dealing with them there TV types and I have a bagful of tricks for dealing with those luvvies.

Anyone think we should have a new forum section for the whingy ones. We can add all the "Everyone is nasty to me" threads and the "I've been here 2 whole days and not found a Master / sub yet" posts and put them all in one place. Then when we are bored or depressed we can head over there and automatically feel loads better.  Oh I can think of so many posts in the last couple of weeks that would end up in there.

Which seems reasonable enough as a business Idea I suppose.

The problem is, just started off on the wrong foot here.

OP, people here are very nice and accepting of ALL different types. The ones who get it the worst are the ones who seem to come here expecting something, and/or who come in with an attitude.

I'd suggest toning it down a bit, and coming in as just a regular person, rather than the model who is too busy to learn the tos.

I've been posting for a little less than a year, but I spent a month or so reading around to get a sense of the place before I started posting. & I have my own little rules, I prefer to post when I have something positive & hopefully original to contribute . . . . .

& thus, somewhat unsurprisingly, I had an overwhelmingly pleasant experience of the CM message boards. I've made tons of friends. I always wanted pen pals when I was a kid but could never get my snailmail thing together, so I'm in hog heaven with all my kinky pen pals all over the world . ... .

I tend to think that a big chunk of the difference in these kinds of experiences is in the 'how' -- how people word what they say is as important as what they say, & how people interpret what's written is as important as the text itself . .. . . .

Well, that & what all those people said above about follow the rules, don't act like an out-of-control narcissist, etc etc . . . . .



Also, strippers I think prefer the moniker 'exotic dancer' these days, tho' I've always been partial to ecdysiast, myself . .. . .
