Taking something seriously and planning wisely is not the same as worrying. If you make a decent living, have no unusual expenses, and handle money responsibly and intelligently, there shouldn't be any reason to worry about money.

Instead, we gave it to the stock brokers and bankers on wall street. instead we give it to the rich in tax cuts. instead we give it to the DoD who cant seem to figure out where Home Depot is to buy a hammer that doesnt cost 600 dollars a piece. Instead we gave it to contractors like Haliburton who tried to shield their MALE employees from rape charges while dragging a female employee through the mud after she was rescued from a shipping container. Are the Canadians predominantly racists for being so stingy, or are we just stupid for throwing twice the money they are into a bottomless shit hole. We are also twice the size as that country. And as a nation we are wealthier. Just because your buddies who got bailed out, along with those who "get" theirs without worrying about anything beyond a bank account, are hoarding their money instead of freeing it up as so many keep saying they will do with all the tax cuts they got... ahem... yeah... forgive me for not crying them a river while their jets and 5 million dollar homes go up for sale, or bankruptcy.

You should check out the other thread where I listed the amounts we spend on things: Aid to Haiti= 100 million Foreign Aid= Approx 10,000 Million (mostly in military aid)= 100 Haitis Defense/ Homeland Security= 900,000 Million= 9,000 Haitis Before I freak out about our life savings being shipped to help dying people in Haiti, I would worry about the banks that are being broken to fight wars that have absolutely no fucking purpose.

How did you get that out of this exchange? I also fail to see Sanity's comparison of a natural disaster relief effort to a war. Wouldn't a better comparison be to the relief effort after another major earthquake that caused the tsunami.
