Who said it and when, tazzy... do you know someone said it, or did you hear that someone said it on KOS or whatever.

And really, how much does it matter, when all the big media outlets are staffed by humans who make honest mistakes. Obama's people letting their guards down against terrorism will get people killed, almost got 300 people killed by a panty bomber who raised up almost every red flag there is. There's a different standard between the casual banter on Fox & Friends and decisions made at the State Department, as it should be.

Double Standard there Sanity. You, among many, often complain about what Obama has done.. for example the panty bomber... yet He did not allow that event to happen, he trusted those he put in charge to deal with like situations, and they failed. YET Obama took the heat, and you demanded HE was wrong.

Same with Fox. They hired these people. They trust them to be on air, unmonitored... guess what? Fox takes the responsibility for what they say.

Ah yes, different standards, I forgot Fox won the right to lie to the viewers anytime they wish [8|]

As opposed to having the government deciding on what editorial content may or may not be aired?

I can't believe Liberals really want government control of the media, just so they can stick it to Fox News, but thats Faux Derangement Syndrome for you.

(I take it that this flailing around on your part means that you can't tell us who supposedly said that, or when.  [;)]   )

But one geographically close country is conspicuously absent from the roster of helping hands.

Cuba, which had evacuated some of its residents as a precaution in case the earthquake triggered a tsunami, has so far not offered any assistance publicly to its devastated island neighbor.

Though the two countries have had warm ties since establishing relations 12 years ago after a 36-year break, the Cuban government Web site, along with Cuban news agencies, did not detail any offers of Cuban aid.

A representative from the Cuban diplomatic offices in the U.S. could not be reached for comment.

Despite the missing neighbor, most major nations in the Western Hemisphere, along with many European nations, were scrambling to provide aid by Wednesday morning.

HUGE time assumption here on behalf of Faux news.

Cuba Considers Helping Haiti A Priority
HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 13 (acn) Cuban Foreign Affairs Minister Bruno Rodriguez said helping Haiti was a priority following a devastating earthquake that caused huge human and material loss in
that country.

In a meeting with his Surinamese counterpart Lygia Louise Irene Kraag-Keteldijk who is on an official visit in Havana, Rodriguez said that there were more than 400 Cubans working on collaboration programs in Haiti at the moment the earthquake shook the country and 344 of them are health experts who are already helping out the victims of the natural phenomenon.

The Cuban official said tthe Cuban doctors, nurses and health technicians have already set up two field hospitals, where more than 800 patients have been already assisted and some of them have even undergone surgery.

Note the dates.

Sanity -> RE: Martha Coakley: Devout Catholics 'Probably shouldn't work in the emergency room' (1/17/2010 9:52:02 AM)

So its the end of the world. Fox News didn't see any evidence of Cuba's helping Haiti, couldn't find evidence of Cuba's helping Haiti on the official Cuban government website, and couldn't reach anyone representing Cuba for comment, and reported as much, so now we're all gonna die.

Oddly enough, the help was published. Fox as usual ran with a partial story they had NOT bothered to confirm. And, of course, upon being given proof, just like with rush, you backpeddel as well.

Nice [8|]

This is hilarious...

Just because the far leftist loons down at DailyKOS can occasionally find a mistake at FOX News, it doesn't mean squat (except that  the people down at DailyKOS are deranged) because making mistakes is part of the human condition.

Poor Martha, stick a fork in her.

Won't matter for the health care reform bill. If Brown wins they'll stall getting him in place. If Cokely wins and they need her vote there will be Lear jet waiting to fly her to Washington after her acceptance speech.

A false, feigned outrage against something for political theater, to try to score political points--a faux-outrage.

By the way, I claim no credit for Fauxtrage- I got it from Rachel Maddow, who is far more articulate than I. She also coined Poutrage.

Music, thanks. Yeah, there's too much of that going around! The liberals seem to be constantly outraged by something, how can anyone be happy going through life like that?

At least, thats the official DNC / White House talking point...

Brown is pulling even in the polls, and that's quite an accomplishment in a state so out of touch with reality. In a heavily populated Catholic state, more than half the population opposes abortion, yet Obamacare is going to make them pay for it with taxpayer dollars.

He pulled off a wing dinger at the debate that people wll never forget.

Moderator David Gergen asked if Brown wished “to sit in Teddy Kennedy’s seat” and stop ObamaCare. Sharply confronting the concept of American royalty, Brown replied: “With all due respect, it’s not the Kennedy’s seat. It’s not the Democrats’ seat. It’s the people’s seat.”

"A liberal is someone who feels that they owe a great debt to their fellow man, and proposes to pay it off with someone else's money."

Well, that and Newsweek magazine.

Oh, I see. You're going to pull an opinion piece from a far left "news magazine" to try to prove your point...

I thought that the way they embedded Keith Obermann's "Countdown" on their web page was a really nice touch...

Being a democrat, I hate to say this, but they should have found a better candidate for this seat. In a predominantly CATHOLIC area, it is not wise to alienate the Catholics. It is like a Republican in Iowa bad mouthing farmers.

The biggest joke of the whole affair is that now the White House is trying to get the House to accept the Senate version health reform bill without changes fearing that the GOP candidate is going to win on Tuesday. That would send the bill to the president's desk without it having to go back to the Senate which would happen if the House makes changes. Of course, many in the House are not happy with the bill that the Senate sent back to them.

In the end the White House is trying to make sure that the people of Massachusetts have no Senate say in the bill if they elect a Republican. Contrast that with the fact that this is the long time pet project of the late Senator Kennedy from Massachusetts and the irony is simply incredible. The person who succeeds Kennedy could actually be the one who ends debate on this matter. Well, that won't happen. The Dems and the White House won't let it happen.
