The fact is that monopolies, which are the results of unnecessary mergers that violate anti trust laws, result in higher prices, especially when they are government ran monopolies. AT&T land line phone bills have gone up by almost 50% in the past 5 years and not coincidentally they merged back with southwestern bell, while the prices of all electronic quipment including tv's, cell phones, and computers has come down or at least had added significant capability for the same price, thanks to competition. I'm not really sure what started the price war with verizon, and at&t but it is long overdue. Capitalism works, socialism doesn't!!! "Any time the government imposes, taxes, fees or penalties on corporations, small businesses, financial institutions, and energy companies; they have no choice but to eventually pass the cost on to the consumer. The same works with multi million dollar lawsuit settlements. Democrats promised you a middle class tax cut in order to get elected, knowing full well that they would get far more money out of you in the long run by blocking tort reform, and passing a multitude of backdoor taxes along with their socialized healthcare." In California now, the liberals are trying to eliminate free parking at shopping centers, and businesses within the city limits everywhere, not just in downtown areas where parking is in high demand. For all you brainwashed liberals out there who need more proof that Obama and the democrats are socialists, check out this link down below for Obama welfare cell phones. Now I agree that some people need food assistance, and energy bill assistance but only after a thorough investigation confirms it, and they aren't making payments on a $100k home or a new car, while making us pay for their luxuries. I was a little skeptical so I Googled it and low and behold he was telling the truth. TAX PAYER MONEY IS BEING REDISTRIBUTED TO WELFARE RECIPIENTS FOR FREE CELL PHONES. This program was started earlier this year. Enough is enough, the ship is sinking and it's sinking fast. The very foundations that this country was built on are being shaken. The age old concepts of God, family, and hard work have flown out the window and are being replaced with "Hope and Change" and "Change we can believe in." Hate to break it to you good people but the professor does exist and he still holds his job. Although he's really better known as a writer for Town Hall than as a professor. Here's the link to his article where he discussed the grading system in detail.
