It still staggers me, it has been over a week since the disaster and the ball ain't quite rolling yet out there as regards providing aid to the needy. What happened to all this high tech equiptment the military are mean't have, these go anywhere vehicles that cost millions of whatever currency, what about the Chinooks and other heavy lift transport VTOL aircraft, they don't need much flat space to operate from, it is all taking too long, people are dying. No berths in the ports, well cruise liners are still managing to berth further down the coast, what's wrong with traveling a few miles to the affected areas, helicopters make short work of distance. If it was a theatre of war, do you think it would have taken this long to get the troops and hardware where they are needed. Or is it politics has it's hand in this.
