roll up! roll up! welcome to the UK where everything, and I mean everything, is for sale!

So, Kraft bought Cadbury. Anyone want to take a guess on how long it will be before production is moved to central Europe?

Anyone want to take a guess on how long it will be before there is nothing left here but DSS offices?

E

edited update - apparently its not signed and sealed yet so I jumped the gun a bit! Other bidders, including Hershey, have a few days now to come up with a better offer.

A sad day for chocolate products containing more vegetable fat than the EU likes.

Personally I shall miss the Cadburys cream egg and the Whisper.

Just like our car industry, with our Jagwahs etc. On days like this I’m with pahunkboy pertaining to the sad effects of globalisation. All we have left now is BP and 50% of Shell , but let us face it anyone can make oil.

Kraft just sold Tombstone pizza to Nestle so they had to replace the company they lost.  At least that is my theory.

More crappy tasting chocolate is coming our way.

I have fond memories of Cadbury.  To this day, my 27-year-old son thinks rabbits say, "bruck bruck bruck bruck bruck", thanks to that commercial they show every year at Easter.

You're close. On the radio last week it said Kraft sold Tombstone so that they could offer more money for Cadbury, as their first offer was rejected.

Fucking crying shame... what'll happen to my Flakes, aye? Have you ever tasted American confectionary  ? They'd better not change the recipe, or I'll make a riot, all by myself.

OMG, one of the best treats I ever had was some Easter cookies Cadbury used to sell. They were little sugar cookies in the shapes of bunnies and ducks and stuff, and they were covered on one side with Cadbury chocolate...mmmmm....

Hmm...guess I might stand alone with my view but I can't stand the taste of Cadbury

I really feel blessed that my local corner shop upgraded his sortiment available from Ritter Sport chocolate and that finally the Morrisons shop here started as well to sell Milka...though not in as many choices as I like but well, if I want a different one I go to another corner shop where I know I get the ones with nuts in it...

so my sincere apologies but I think the flavour can only get better with being taken over by someone else

Though I do hope that the jobs stay over here for you folks...

just think that the taste of Cadbury is the right one to putt me off chocolate...

so...now you can start to stone me if you desire

Course I won't stone you, silly  . Cadbury's for when I'm feeling proletarian  .

Otherwise, I thought it was funny how Hershey's was described by experts as tasting like a mixture of baby vomit and laundry detergent.

With all the adulteration of our food it all tastes so much more like nothing crap than ever. These people dont care about our taste buds and bodies, they care about profits. They dont care what sort of poison they put in our food and it makes me sad and angry. Muh-fuhs

I really worry about the people who know what that combination tastes like in the first place. You'd surely need to be exposed to some industrial accident to experience it.

Oh I can't eat a flake and not pull a pouty face making sure hit load of it falls in my cleavage.

I think its pretty terrible to be honest, cadbury is basically the only chocolate I like, at least I will loose some weight I guess

Well, if you've ever been close to a baby, you know what babyvom smells like, and if you know the smell of something, it's supposed to give you a pretty good idea as to its taste.

Bleurgh!

Now that rather depends on if it’s lying on the pavement or not.
