This may be difficult to understand, in fact, I stopped trying to understand it years ago. I’ve been sexually interactive with a woman for over ten years, we have dinner together two to three times a week, often take our vacations together and our lives entwine in a wide varied of venture capital interests and social functions. Ten years and when I see her from across the room a swelling throbbing pulsating still fills my loin. Neither of us wants more than those moments in time that forever etch themselves on the very essence of our being and I seek only to lay naked upon the alter of her desire but when the night is over, it’s over for a few days and then the mystical magic of her begins to flood my mind again. But she is certainly far more than a fuck buddy or friend with benefits.

Wow lot of various replys some good and some interesting as well.......thanks all! Well of course condoms are a must to prevent and keep others disease free. Now we have Aids and Herpes which are very hard to cure and I am sure there are a few more!? For me sex wasnt required while training of a sub/slave but if they wanted fun as well? Had to help out and keep them happy. Was a plus for me as well! Like how some here said it was a commitmant and loyality. Can see that as you trust that person just for the fun you both need. I could not see myself with a fuck buddy... It is not that I couldn't have a short term passionate affair, I could, but there is something so platonic about "fuck buddy"... it kinda is like the term "drinking buddy", someone you see when you drink... that just isn't the way I want to feel about someone I lower my drawers for... I like the term "lover" and "affair" better.. I want intensity, heat, and passion... without it I might as well get a vibrator... I have plenty of friends these days.

Toyfriend! I feel it's a fitting and accurate description of what they are. I thought I was okay with that, that it was all I needed. Managed to delude myself for a few years that it was working but I left feeling more lonely than when I went into it. No more, can't do it.

Wait a minute! Are you telling me that there are people who DON'T have a "friend with benefits"????!!!!! i've had one for years. She lives in another city, and any time i am in town on business, we usually make it a point to get together for dinner and to catch up on old times. If either of us is in a relationship at the time, then our visits remain platonic (we do have a sense of honor, despite being fuck buddies). But if neither of us is in a relationship, then it is very likely that we will take advantage of the "benefits". We both agree that we wouldn't work well as a LTR. Being in a real relationship with one another would bring our glaring personality differences into play too much. But as just friends with benefits, we work very well. As far as BDSM play partners go, i have had varying experiences. Many Dommes that i've played with have wanted to take me for a "test ride". But just as many simply want the power exchange without the sex. So my experience has been that "play partner" does not necessarily mean "fuck buddy".

Fuck buddies....it seems that my exes become fuck buddies, at least one has for years now. The problem with exes becoming fuck buddies for ME, is that we are not friends or buddies, we don't get along well enough for that, however we still dissolve in animalistic passion over each other, so while we each do our thing in our lives, we do take advantage of that animal passion and our history. Some of my exes where we ended on a decent note, still became fuck buddies but did not last as long as the current one. I don't usually do casual with strangers, ala one night stands. Does not work for me; if I fuck you and you are amazing, I will be fucking you alot.

My exes are my exes because we NO longer got along well enough to carry on in a serious, monogamous relationship leading to whatever it would lead to or we fell out of love, but still love each other in some way.These relationships went on for years before they devolved into the fuck buddy route. Additionally, not every ex became a fuck buddy; my husband never did. But the hottest relationships likely did. So, no, I don't fuck people I cannot stand; that would be ludicrous.

fuckbuddies were fun when I was young and not looking for any kind of serious relationship. But these days they just leave me cold and feeling distant. Does nothing at all for me. Just make sure if you get involved with one you both are extremely clear about what it is...just fucking and there won't be anything more than that.
