A comment on another thread got Me thinking about this subject this morning. I do realize that we are somewhat revisiting this topic, but I hope it will be a fun one. Something to give our forum participants a little bit of excitement talking about yummy activities within the context of what it is that we do.
We talk an awful lot about preferences around here. Granted, preferences are very important on a vast array of subjects. This is particularly true when we are talking about searches for partners and such. There are some areas that we should never give up our preferences on or settle in any way.
Yet, there are areas we are often asked about where two options are given and both things are equally good. They are just fun in different ways. There are all kinds of subjects that fall under this category. Do you like floggers that thud or sting? Do you prefer canes or crops? Do you like experienced bottoms or someone new that you can teach to have the reactions that you want? Do you prefer a masochist or someone who is submitting to play to please you? We may have preferences in these areas. Maybe one that we enjoy just a tad bit more than the other. At other times, we may enjoy them both so much that we have a hard time choosing.
An excellent example of this was in our famous "Heterosexual Males Sucking Cock" thread. (I know that's not everyone's kink, but hang in there with Me on this.) During the course of that thread, those of us who enjoy this play were asked which we preferred. Someone who was brand new to the experience, so we could enjoy the fear, hesitation, the follow through of submitting to our will, or someone who was comfortable with the act, so that we could relax more about the mental aspects, and maybe we could be a bit rougher with the play. Speaking as someone who enjoys this in a D/s scenario, both of them are HOT. It's the same act, but both of them are turning Me on for completely different reasons. They are both so good that it's almost impossible for Me to say which one I prefer.
I think a lot of things fall into this area. Other good examples of this would be rope vrs mental bondage, topping a masochist vrs topping a sub who is submitting because you want them to take pain, introducing someone to a particular type of play vrs someone experienced, the raw excitement of playing with someone new vrs playing with someone you know so well that you know exactly what pushes their buttons.
So that's the task at hand, Ladies. (Gents and boys, you can play, too.) Let's hear your areas where two situations turn you on and it's hard for you to pick just one. Get those creative juices (and maybe other juices as well) going. Tell Me about those areas where you enjoy both that you don't want to have to choose.
