Status: offline 		I'm still shaking my head in disbelief.

I approached a ProDomme who has a profile here that I found interesting enough to bite on.

She writes back a set of instructions. The bottom line: I have to verify my identity *before* she will provide her photos and a quote for her tribute requirement.

No, this is *not* a verification scam. RS2K is a legitimate verification service that I've already registered with years ago, and it wouldn't cost me another cent to verify.

However, the point is: why would any buyer be willing to disclose his full identity to any seller of goods or services before he even knows what it is he's actually buying, and at what cost?

I mean WTF???

Do people actually *agree* to terms like this, these days?

Yup.

Supply and demand - there is a huge supply of potential clients so she gets to make the demands. You want her bad enough, you'll do it. She must not be hurting for clients or she doesn't need the money badly enough.

I don't know if she's a loser, but she's definitely unreasonable in my view.

You don't know her situation, do you?

You don't know if the internet is the only way she finds her clients. She may also find them at kink events. She may have a fanastic job and this is simply a hobby for her so she can do whatever she damn well pleases. She may have had a potential client take her photos and paste them all over the internet. She may have a stalker.

There are about a million reasons that can explain why she is doing what she is doing. What matters though is if you are willing to do what she wants. If not, move on to the next pro until you find one who works with how you think things should be done. It's a business, not a relationship.

I love the title of the thread and then comparing it with the subject matter....

Yes, a world gone mad, a pro domme making what anyone else in the world would call an "unreasonable" demand and getting away with it? What has this world come to!

Like others have said, if her demands are that whacked I suppose you should attempt to find a domme that isn't so whacked.

Status: offline 		When you say it's a verification service, does that mean they automatically give your info over to anyone who asks or do they do the screening and tell people you've passed their checks?

As to why? Dommes get a lot of time wasters, men who don't plan to actually pay for services but want to talk to them and get their jollies off that way, discussing their kinks for free. Beyond that, stalkers.
