Not at all, oh lushy one. American cuisine , although having been, naturally , influenced by many others, has evolved into a thing sublime. Alice Waters, Bobby Flay, Norman Aiken , the chefs who have created Floribbean cuisine and many, many others have contributed to a cuisine that is second to none. Additionally, most gourmands would agree that , not only California wines, but other American wineries produce the finest wines in the world. This is true of a number of countries in the "New World", Chile, for example. Have you been to The Prarie restaurant in your own town ? It features local, seasonal dishes. Lots of game and fish as well as vegetarian entrees. It is very good, American , Midwestern, fresh good at it's best. It would satisfy any Native American appetite.
