The toast and bean I could handle, but curry of ANY kind.............no, not now, not ever again. I am not sure what hideous seasonings they put in curry but it's been in every variety I've tried (several I swear would have glowed in the dark) and it does not belong with meat.

I dont like lamb at all, ewe yucky, I dont like the smell. When I was growing up and my dad wasnt comin ghome fro dinner one of my most fave dinners my momma would make was baked beans, toast and fried eggs. MMmmm lerv it! I adore curry! I love the English accent, would love a bf with said accent.

i think america is the only country who has the ham based sauce in the baked beans. i remember growing up in a large household, fighting for the 1 or 2 tiny pieces of bacon in the large tins. and pouring maple syrup over the top of it. it was almost a sweet rather than a savoury, lol. my grandpa's home made version was the BEST! over here, the baked beans are almost exclusively tomato based. i think they've recently come out with a cheesy version and they have "ham" based ones as well. i buy the teeny tins to have for quick breakfasts. i've heard that if you consume legumes on a regular basis, the body stops producing so much gaseous out pourings [8\|]

Not sure about the offal, but it's rich coming from someone in a country with a national dish containing pigs' bollocks and cows' sphincter muscles (yep - hot dogs). Oh and some of them eat something which resembles wallpaper paste, I think they call it grits.

[:)] Grits are amazing but, like many things, you have to know how to eat them. No instant grits and add butter and cheese so that they are melted and stirred in. So very yum...

Have to say I prefer brit baked beans, ...if you are gonna put pork in them ..put bloody pork in them not a stingy bit of fat nice with bacon tho, in fact bacon, sausage egg, fried bread and beans, nummies for heart attack foood. now Im hungry Marmite is good with jacket potato, cheese and a big knob

Marmite on toast... so delicious! It was my wake-up hangover brekkie when I was a student: cheap, spicy and savoury all at once. Perfect to coat the stomach lining. Here, of course, I can't find Marmite to save my life - if anyone has a pot, even second-hand [8D] ...
