Master and I actually met each other playing WoW... yes.. that's right, world of warcraft. We were in the same guild and knew each other for months without knowing about each other's kinky sides. It's an adult group and so there's constantly jokes, witty banter about sexual activities, just a huge group of people having a good time.

I was actually the one who brought up the D/s lifestyle to Master one day when we'd been talking...apparently he liked tying girls up and that was just fine with me! So I straight out asked him if he was into BDSM or if he was just a little you know.. vanilla with chocolate sprinkles. Turns out Master was most definately into the same sort of things that I was into and it just blossomed from there.

See? Video games aren't all bad!

I'm very open about things, so, it comes up in my conversation... and, I'd say, as to how you'd know, you'd Dom up and bloody well take control of the situation and ask her, or tell her what you are into as nicely, politely, and firmly as possible.

If she is a submissive, she'll appreciate it. If she isn't, you'll both end up wasting a lot less time.

Unless, of course, you want her, regardless; in which case, why ask?

You also have to stop considering yourself perfectly healthy and all your exes to be damaged goods. You are as much damaged goods as they are. Accept it and stop blaming them for everything. Own your responsibilities. Because frankly, with your overwhelming fears and inability to accept your own issues, you don't come across as dominant. You may well be sadistic but that's not the same.

Being comfortable in your own skin, being confident in your decisions; those things say dominant more than any leather outfit with assortment of floggers.
